Abba are one of those bands that very, very rarely get covered in televised singing competitions and it's for a pretty simple reason. Their harmonies and melodies are really hard to sing. They sound simple because the girls are amazing singers. Really, amazing. I did see one round in one TV talent show in the UK where they got them to do Abba songs, a loooong time ago, and it was painful to watch and has never been repeated!

Benny and Bjorn are such brilliant song crafters. The melodies and lyrics are always so memorable . And I love that ABBA often made such simple videos that really catch the song's essence. The freeze-frames in this and the couples looking at each other and turning away really conveys the sadness of a breakup without a need for fancy special effects

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Abba is a force to be recon with, - a power house. Top quality. I remember as a teenager their lyrics were so informative. Abba is a Swedish pop supergroup formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group's name is an acronym of the first letters of their first names and the members of the group where married to each other's . They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1983.

A cool group, they were 2 couples that formed a group, the man with the beard was married to the redhead, the blonde to the clean shaven guy. The women were the great voices- and eye candy, but the men wrote the songs and created the instrumentation. They needed each other- and it worked great, a lot of hits!!

Think this is one of their most beautiful songs.... real... but hopeful... can break up..n it can be hard.. but only if ye let it.... can still work together for a common goal... think father n daughter... mother and son.... think this song was ultimately shedding light on the good that comes from a break up.... despite the darkness normally associated with a break up... abba are kinda a poster child for this.. in that for most of their career they were estranged....

"Walking through an empty house, tears in my eyes" This is an emotional experience that we have probably all experiences some more than once. Walking out the door after you have moved all your stuff out following a divorce, going back and revisiting your now empty childhood home. The paradox is that such a sad emotional experience is set to some of the most beautiful music we will ever here. If this doesn't cause your eyes to shed a tear you may need to go to the doctor and have them check to see if you are still alive.
