This is one of my favorite ABBA songs. So heartfelt and the turmoil between your love and needing to let go as friends than continue of disappointment, ill will and become enemies especially if there are children involved. Both couples eventually divorced, and last I saw three of the four were able to be on stage together. The fourth member I heard wanted to be out of the spot light and I am sure she is in a good way with the other three.

"Knowing me knowing you" (1976) is one of ABBA's most famous heartbreak songs The lyrics are strong and raw (some say there is a preview of the couple conflicts between the blonde singer Agnetha & guitarist Björn) And it has a powerful chorus on Agnetha & Frida, and a nice melody These is an excellent official video, it shows the four of them in separation situations, and plays with the images of the trios The part that stands out the most is the appearance of the image of Agnetha almost whispering as a reflection of Frida's main voice "Knowing me knowing you" was five weeks in a row at #1 in the UK, and one of them coincided with the #1 of "Dancing Queen" on the Billboard. (Just this week of April 9, 1977, 46 years ago, ABBA was #1 in the U.S. and U.K. with two different songs from the same album) "Knowing me knowing you" is one of their hits that ABBA recorded in spanish at 1980, with the tittle: "Conociéndome, Conociéndote", part of their album in spanish language "Gracias por la música" (1980) ABBA recorded in spanish after the colossal success of "Chiquitita" (1979) in Latin American countries The next single will be the oposite "The name of the game" a lovesong I hope to see you in next reaction to ABBA My best regards to You from Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷 South América

ABBAsolutely my number one all time favourite song from them. An ABBA fan for 49 years and will never tire from them. There were no marital issues between them here at this stage. Agnetha and Bjorn's breakup song is The Winner Takes It All and Frida and Benny's is When All Is Said And Done. Great analogy with the speech bubble part. Thanks Lee, great reaction.

This is great on so many levels, the music, lyrics, performance, recording and production, everything is top notch, even the video is great even though its pretty simple. I absolutely love Agneta and Anni-Frids voices/singing and i remember these songs from growing up here in Sweden in the 70´s.

A young Lasse Hallström directed most of Abba's video's. He went on to do movies in both Sweden and Hollywood. Like "Whats eating Gilbert Grape", "Ciderhouse rules" and "Chocolat" to name some.

It's interesting to see someone British reacting to ABBA giving the impression of not knowing what to expect (I could be wrong) considering ABBA are virtually part of British Culture and have been for over 50yrs. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone young or old in The UK who doesn't know ABBA or any of their songs.

Just to give you a bit of back story. At this point in their career, the two couples are still together. They just decided to write a very moving break-up song that maybe had some bad omens of their future divorces. Björn (lyrics/guitar) is married to Agnetha (soprano/blonde) and Benny (music/piano) is engaged (but at this point not married to) Frida (mezzo/redhead).

Separate comment about the song and their relationships "Knowing me knowing you" was written and recorded in 1976 the official video is on January 1977 (ABBAonTV website) at these time all four ABBA members were in their own couples since 1969 Agnetha & Björn married in 1971, with one child and next will be pregnant of their second child (let's see in next ABBA single and official video) Benny & Frida was engaged and living together not married until October 1978 each one have two childrens of yours first marriages Agnetha & Björn split as a couple in December 1978 Benny & Frida split as a couple in February 1981 ABBA unofficial breakup was after December 1982

Do you know every song by every band? I sure don't, and why would Lee? So Abba is popular? I don't listen to them. Black Sabbath and Ozzy are popular. Do you know all of their songs? I bet you don't.
