I think you’ll like the musicality but it’s just as likely to make your collar hot, lol. This album was out the summer before my senior year of high school. We cruised around to it. One of her dancers on this tour Omar (the bald headed dude she’s pushing all around in the video for “If”) was from our area and we were all super psyched for him. Lots of good memories attached to this album. ♥️

Janet was actually secretly married at this time to the director of this video and a few others from this album/era. I've been a fan since the beginning and for me this was my favorite era as well. Her look, her sound, everything was just perfection. That being said, she has never released a bad album. I have almost all of them at least downloaded and her music was always consistently good up until the last album she released in 2015 I believe.

When she came out with this look and these new songs, she announced to the world that she had a confidence that she has never had and was totally in control.
