Jc sings first then Justin; this album was called no strings attached and this was their second album. The title is in reference to their management specifically Lou Pearlman who was ripping them off so they got independence from him. Backstreet Boys had similar issues with Lou as well. There's a documentary on KZbin that Lance Bass (one of the NSYNC members) produced and its pretty disturbing.

The boy bands were designed to capitalize on the huge financial draw of the teen girl market in the music industry. To give credit, each of the guys are chosen for their abilities to sing & dance, aside from their looks, so the talent is there. It is overlooked or dismissed by many in spite of the fact these guys worked their butts off when performing. I was too old to be terribly interested when they were all popular (I was not their demographic), but I still enjoyed their stuff when I happened to hear / see it & have mad respect for their accomplishments.

I see others have already told you who the boys are - JC sings first and Justin second (yeah I'd call them the main singers as they usually had the solos, especially for the songs that came out as singles). I always thought JC should've had much more successful career but his solo career was handled so poorly and it didn't work out like Justin's did. JC's music was "too weird" for the time, while Justin's was much more relateable. Too bad as JC's voice is outstanding. And by the way, JC and Justin knew each other from the Mickey Mouse Club.

I don't even remember the other members, but Justin's voice is so recognizable. He is the blonde one you said has a nice tone to his voice. Also, I recognized one of the guys from My big fat greek wedding?! I had no idea he was in NSync, lol!

They had this rotating room which inspired the rotating hallway for "Inception" 10yrs later

Great group! To better understand the NSYNC hype, you need to see their live performances. Check out their Madison Square Garden performances of Bye Bye Bye, No Strings Attached, It’s Gonna Be Me. The live version of Sailing is really good too. Can’t forget This I Promise You from their Atlantis or Pop Odyssey concerts.
