I’m SO glad that I got to see slipknot in 2015 for my first concert ever!!!!! It was the BEST show ever!!!!!!!! I just remember I was in the crowd just watching Jay play the drums through the whole show!!!!! I didn’t pay attention to anything else except for Jay!!!!!!

Absolutely no disrespect to Joey, because clearly he was absolutely incredible, but when listening to Jay playing these songs compared to Joey, I found Joey to be very....robotic. He was like a human metronome or a human drum machine. Everything was so locked in and sharp as fuck, but I find Jay to be more dynamic and feel it gives the drums and the songs a more human feel. I don't know if anyone else would agree with me but honestly I prefer listening to the songs with Jay behind the kit. just my opinion obviously and again I still love the original records with Joey playing, but I just prefer watching Jay play them.
