I think this sort of small, intimate show is the sort of thing Slipknot needed to find themselves again. The larger their productions have gotten, the more distance and disconnection they've had with their audience. When you lose that connection and intensity with your fans, it's easy to forget /why/ you started playing music like this in the first place. For their sake, I hope this is the first of many gigs they do. And yeah, Eloy is a fucking beast.

Eloy will certainly be Slipknot's best drummer because he is a complete musician who knows a lot of other rhythms as well, who is very technical and reads sheet music. He is not just a metal drummer. I've seen this guy since I was little and he's crazy!! Of course, I have respect for Jay, but you'll see Eloy's insane character on the band's next albums. I'm sure they will be the best albums!

Even though they have spent two decades as the biggest metal band in the world, they were always at their best in smaller venues. The energy just isnt the same at festivals and arenas and I will drive HOURS to see one of these "club" shows.

Joey’s drums were what originally got me into these guys, there’s not one song or moment from the Jay era that I can point to as being memorable because of his drumming. Jay also had no creativity when it came to snare fills
