Part of the reason I am still here, despite the "lack of content", is because I like how you present things, even when it is a semi-mundane topic, or a update video. You are good at getting the topic across, without throwing numbers on screen constantly.

Sure it’s exciting when new tech comes out. The reason I keep watching is because you mix things up, rate my build, talking heads, trips to micro centre. Plus how to keep your system running smoothly so you can stretch things out a bit longer. I don’t think I will ever do a custom loop as I like to swap parts out regularly but I appreciate the insight and artistry and hey who knows maybe one day. Keep up the good work.

Your "Ifixit" ad, everytime I see it, gives me a good laugh. Brillant! Reminds of the Macho Man Randy Savage's Slim Jim ads. :D Great Q&A! Lot of great questions. Especially your personal story about your own professional way. I think your greatest KZbin archievement is that YOU inform and help your audience. And that always in an honest way and opinion. That gives people a good reputation. Your audience can trust you! If - no matter if releasing an interesting or not so interesting topic for a video - the audience feels entertained, but also learned something useful even on stuff you regular aren't invested in, it tells a lot! Keep going! There are a lot of good reasons you reached such a good reputation worldwide!

IT isn't that bad if you don't work at a crappy company. I've worked at both and work in projects at an MSP now. There has to be a culture of respect in the root of the company and if there is, IT people are given respect and appreciation. And in the company that didn't have that culture, I made it very clear that when someone had an issue, I was solely the one in control of how quickly it got dealt with and that I basically held their productivity in my hands. Caused a lot of people to check the attitude pretty quick. Overall, I still love this career.

For the desk question. What I've done is buy some 12"x13" L brackets with a weight rating of 100+ lbs (around $13each at my local homedepot) and then get a sheet of MDF and have the store cut it for you hot dog style so you have 2 15'x24" approx pieces. Screw the brackets into the studs of the wall and set the MDF on top. I did that and it's very affordable if drilling into the wall is an option.

I'm usually not interacting all that much on social media but after this AMA I feel like it would be a good idea. As a (maybe former?) IT guy myself I felt it so much what you said about the job. You're always the one that's responsible for issues, no matter what. You get the blame and little to no thanks. Not from the clients/colleagues and not from your boss. It really makes me feel like I should do something else. I'm so sick of customer support. On the topic of "core" fans. Well, usually I watch some of the videos of a channel I subscribed to and end up skipping most of them because they begin to bore me. For about 3ish years I'm watching your videos and barely missed one. I do like the different kind of topics, the lack of scripts and that you don't shove ads down my throat. Even thought October to December might be exhausting because of daily videos I enjoyed most of them and had something to look forward to.
