The fact that the case made a 4090 look like a regularly proportioned card was actually impressive. See alot of cards barely fitting in New or old cases these days.

I agree, if you have a front mount 360 or bigger rad and fans, you have to watch if your GPU won't touch either of these components. With the latest rads going up to 45mm this is even more an issue.

I still use 3.5 drives for my media server storage - I tend to lean to having my build be an all in one solution, not just for gaming etc. I do like the fact that Lian-Li is still including a good enough amount of support for 3.5/2.5 drives.

Yes exactly! Do all be all machines! If you're spending all that money for a gaming PC you might as well realize its other potential, because a gaming PC is just a good PC with RGB. I have a box of 10 spare 1tb hard drives that Ive been slowly adding in. I need every drive bay I can find. Also still use my disk readers and no case has disk reader bays anymore. Having it in a standalone case does not help my desks sex appeal.

It makes me think of my Obsidian case I had for a long time. Everyone who walked into my apartment, the first thing they all noticed and commented on was the computer. "Jeez, that computer is huge." And then I would tell them it had 2 computers in it. The Obsidian could hold an ATX and miniATX motherboard at the same time. So I had my gaming machine and my streaming machine in the same box. I would also use it to 2box in games like Star Wars The Old Republic and Lord of the Rings Online.

@@jcg702 The X670E Taichi is a stable board. No issues with it accepting the DDR5 6000 CL30 and running it on it's XEPO profile. The way it allocates it's PCIe lanes was also something I looked into carefully before buying it. The Artic Freezer II 420 is excellent. But know that if you're going to put one in an FD Torrent case, you will have to trim the bottom fan bracket with a Dremel to make it fit. You can find pics of this online. I also used a Thermalright Contact Frame with the 7950X, but that's to stop the thermal paste from getting into those stupid IHS notches. Overall, it works really well.

I feel like the comment about nobody using 3.5 and 2.5 inch drives anymore is a little out of touch. Not everybody can do a new build every year or is working with an unlimited budget. Usually I do not find myself typing a comment like this but this time I truly feel it is needed. This is something that I have noticed in your videos from time to time on products that I know a few things about, things that you either forgot to mention or did not notice to mention (maybe no research about the product prior to shooting a video) 1. The front pillar is removable making the case look open and like an aquarium 2. The MB tray is removable, not just slide it up. You can also slide it down to make room for 2 x 120 mm fans on the top. 3. It is not recommended but you can fit 4 x 120 mm lian li fans on the top and bottom of the case. They do fit. 4. Completely glossed over the fact that the front IO can be moved from the front to the side like the original EVO and that it has 2 USB 3 plugs that most MBOS do not have and you need a splitter to make them work on a regular MBO 5. Enthusiasts of Lian Li know the difference between the fan controller of the 3 fan pack and the galahad fan controller but it would have been usefull to show it. (this one is a nitpick) Sry for any spelling errors, ENG is not my main language

I love my 0-11 Dynamic, and it's filled with SL-120 infinity fans too. What I don't understand is why, with all the technology around today, Lian-Li haven't made a reverse function for the fans in their L-Connect software. That way you can have all the infinity faces showing without having to buy "reverse" fans (not available from my parts supplier here in Aus), but have some as intakes, and others as exhausts without the need to cover parts of the fan with the back of the fan cage.

As an owner of O11D XL i must say this is a nice evolution. I really like the mesh panels instead of cutouts, magnetic filters are nice, being able do do the "right-hand" and "left-hand" side build is nice addition, and the redesigned gpu sag bracket finally looks like i would be able to even mount it... but personally i wouldn't trade my trusty old one for this. The IO panel on bottom is a dealbreaker for me - i have no space on the desk to put the case and this renders all 4 USB ports pretty much unusable for me.

One of the most underrated features of the O11 series is the inclusion of the 3.5in hard drive cage which is hot swappable. So many new cases either omit it completely or just throw in a cage at the bottom of the chassis which is the least accessible part of the case. The 3.5in drives are wonderful for archive storage and the newer ones are virtually silent. If you don't want to rely on external storage systems which add to clutter and can be expensive (for NAS), or just need an extra layer of backup, the Lian Li implementation here is top of the list. There are many things to like about this case but for me this feature tops all.

I have ~88TB of RaidZ2 pool with some nvme caches, cannot get that amount of storage out of M.2 drives without several 4xM.2 cards. Just built a dual 4090 rig in this case (my first Lian Li case) with a lot of room to spare a week or two ago. Only issue is that 120mm fans look a bit small in this case. Will be getting 140mm fans here soon. That being said, careful with the top panel when you're sliding off. It may catch on something as you're pulling it off and break the plastic catchers (can't recall the name of them). Lian LI support was on it with a replacement, though. Just filled in the RMA and got back to me the same day.

I have the old 011 D XL and really love it. My only gripe with it are the slots in the top and bottom, don't go far enough towards the front of the case to properly align radiators with a side distro plate.

Jay you just saved my bacon I'm just getting a 011 mini build with a 240 galahad 2 aio and have added the uni fans infinity to the bottom and top, but didn't even consider I would need the reversible on the bottom for intake. Saved me a fupar. So glad I've just seen your video. Big thumbs up mate

Dude, this video inspired me to go from my mostly-white build with my O11 Dynamic XL to a black out build with this case and the Gallahad 2 LCD AIO...also swapped my Corsair QL white fans for the Lian Li Infinity black and my build looks sick AF...so happy with the aesthetics...Thanks for the inspiration, Jay! Oh, and I have the rather large Asus Tuf Gaming OC 4090, and that support bracket works perfectly!

I'm glad that case manufacturers are still putting in drive cages for HDDs. Because as someone that *LIKES* using HDDs because they're cheaper for more, and don't ruin themselves by using their own storage, I enjoy having a few of them

After watching your video, I went down to MicroCenter today and dropped a chunk of change on a Lian Li 011 Dynamic Evo, a Galahad 360 AIO, and 10 Lian Li fans to fill it up. You can tell the Lian Li rep that their sponsorship made them some money today.

This might be the coolest case I’ve ever seen. I was at a MC yesterday and saw it and was very close to walking out with it lol. Holding out till the next gen or when my EVGA 3080ti (hybrid) dies (hopefully never). But water looping in this would be so sick. What a gorgeous case. Thx Jay!

The vertical bar at the corner of the case where the two glass side panels meet can also be removed to create an uninhibited aquarium look.

Reverse blades can be great if you are going to pull air. The blades are further away from the main restriction, thereby reducing the noise at the same airflow level. This is also probably one of the reasons why Noctua did not configure the NF-A12 with thicker blades which go all the way to the frontside of the fan.

Have the AIO sucking from the side vent, top cans exhausting, and install a back exhaust for 10 total fans. I have the same case and those dynamics have gotten me the best overall component and and system temps.

I dont have the EVO XL but my OG XL has the same 4x hotswap 3.5 drives that I use for a RAID array for video production... this is one of the few cases that had that functionality and why I bought the XL.

You completely missed the point where they now have screws instead of rivets holding the front support bar so that others can remove it for a clean look.

I still use a HDD for bulk storage space. I've found that makes mid size cases almost unusable, as while they might have a cage for those drives, you can't actually use it because it inevitably sits where you need to run your cables.

So, these becomes popular for sure, so I can use my Corsair 800D tower again, if you put a big motherboard in that, it looks like there is a ITX board in it haha. And it has grommets to use outside water coolers. Like the ones they use for cooling fish aquariums, paired with a rad and pump, they give a lot of cooling. And cost only €139 and can cool till 4°C which is overkill I know. But on temps like 20°C they are very quiet and be enough for cooling most CPUs. Especially those with high hotspots :)

I still have a 3.5 spinning drive, a WD Black 12tb that I use as my main storage drive. I transfer whatever video I am working on to my 2tb WD Black nvme drive that is used just for video editing and where I install any games I play. My C (1tb WB Black nvme) drive is just an OS drive. Then I have an external 12tb WD Black drive that I use as backup.

I have built up my Evo XL and it's an awesome case and so easy to build in. I'm still waiting for my LC gear from EK (who to be perfectly honest have been super disappointing by constantly pusjing out the restock time of their components). Have picked up the distro plate for the front glass which hopefully will be really cool when everything eventually gets here. One thing you didn't mention is the front support bracket between the two glass plates come off which makes everything look super clean. Finally - I want to add that Lian Li's support is excellent - my case arrived with some damage to the panels (scratches on the brushed aluminum - YES - it's clearly possible!!) and Lian Li has commited to replacing the affected panels without any issue.
