I noticed when you were reading and pronouncing the hangul letters (1:04) at '쇼' you read it 'syo' which is technically correct, however over time koreans just started pronouncing it 'sho' because it's easier This is also the case with all the other possible combinations with ㅅ and a vowel that has to little strokes (I hope my explanation kind of makes sense) 샤: sha 섀: shae 셔: sheo 셰: she 쇼: sho 슈: shu The 'sh' sound like in the words 'sh'ip, 'sh'ow etc. 🌃

@@jazminelayah9302 To add to this, it pretty much works with ㅈ and ㅊ (but this one is less noticeable). The consonant will get a "stronger" sound when paired with the ㅣ sound (or ya/yae/yeo/ye/yo/yu)! I really can't think of an example from the top of my head, but I thought I'd let you know! For example, 쟈 would be pronounced more like 차 (not EXACTLY, but it's a good place to start 😁)

I watched this video and I am going to try some of your methods by alternating between apps through iPad (which I need to invest in one, lol) and between workbooks. I didn't even know there were specific notebooks for Hangul that could help with your writing. Thank you for showing us all your tips on studying! I definitely did learn a thing or two and gone through your links in the description box. Keep studying languages!

I did take HSK when I was in college. I remember thinking that level 2 was easier than level 1 (maybe because I almost perfected it). I took level 3 once and level 4 thrice (first attempt was failed, second was passed but borderline, third was satisfactory). And after I graduated college I took level 5 for fun (I wasn't studying Chinese anymore at this point) and I failed. It was super difficult haha. I also took the oral exam (HSKK) beginner level and passed it. Never thought of taking the intermediate level. I'm also currently studying Japanese. I just finished N5 and will start N4 soon. Haven't taken the JLPT yet tho.

You've got all the sounds right minus the syo which would be sho but my advice would be to elongate your pronunciation a little bit and keep a little bit more of a neutral tone. You have a bit of a Chinese accent saying the syllables by cutting off the sound and ending with the tone upwards.
