Hate ta break it to ya but there are plenty of drummers out there that write out their parts so no he's not in a league of his own. He's in a league with many a drummer that came before him but he isn't doing anything new.

I honestly love listening to the instrumental versions of both albums because you get to really hear the nuances of the drumming and guitar playing that you dont get when you listen with the vocals. The vocals are absolutely amazing but the instrumentals are fucking MIND BLOWING

it's common to use recording software as a writing tool for modern metal bands. that helps you imagine things you wouldn't come up with naturally, you don't even have to play it yourself until you play live.

It’s about fuckin time. Chris is an absolute scientist behind a drum kit. It’s not just about crazy sporadic fills and chaos, everything he does is an intricacy that he puts math behind and he’s an extremely knowledgeable musician when it comes to timing and flow. He’s incredible.

This dude doesn't trigger or do any sound replacing, which for this style of metal is super fucking hard, and incredibly rare. Theres a video on here that shows him recording and the studio engineers talking about how much of a freak the fuckin guy is. They even isolated his kick drum track so you can hear how consistently he hits. That is very rare these days

My favorite metal album of all time. Christ Turner is an amazing drummer and the rest of the band is so absolutely amazingly talented and practiced. If you like metal you'll love this band. I even got a Hikari tattoo because I love it so much
