the way they reinterpret this song to be about taking racial justice into their own hands is just gorgeous
@sydubrov5 жыл бұрын
There is nothing about racial in this song. It is about the whole humanity.
@maxiguess22915 жыл бұрын
Sergey Dubrov not inherently, no. its obviously up for interpretation. “when i’m faced with unjust injury, then i change my hands to fists of fury” is a powerful way of saying that they’ll take justice into their own hands
@sydubrov5 жыл бұрын
@@maxiguess2291 Yes, it can be understood in this way. But unjust injury - is what has been done to all of us by the people who rules this world and they keep on going this. Just look around, ask people from different places in the world how do they live. Each person can decide by their own to be a victim or not. In my understanding this song is about it and the racial things are just a special case but not the whole thing.
@aarias0819915 жыл бұрын
Funny thing you should mention that because Fists of Fury is about a student who fights for the honor of the Chinese from foreign oppression. A lot of black people caught on that when they had showings of the film, Fists of Fury, in New York. They watched an oppressed man fight the system with his own hands. Black people loved it so much that it lead to the Blaxploitation genre in films. Watch Iron Fists and Kung Fu Kicks on Netflix, it really delves into it.
@power500015624 жыл бұрын
@@aarias081991 exactlyyy, we don't need to reinterpret this because it already was about racial tensions between the Chinese and Japanese. The story of Huo Yuanjia has been told over and over

@rungus246 жыл бұрын
I think that's their sound: the vocals aren't the main thing, they are just a part of the overall organism. If they'd wanted the vocals to be at the forefront, then the arrangement wouldn't have had the brass section playing in unison with the vocals, so I suspect the mix might have been just what they wanted.
