Sir, we are missing you here on KZbin. Please, get back and continue your videos and talks. You are a true master of a rapidly disappearing jazz style, and all your words, explanations, with your amazing piano playing are just invaluable.

YOu certainly love what you are doing and that is that your are so amazing in what you have accomplished all on your own and of course the chords and the fooling around as you say is where to go with improvisation. Keep up the great work man.

Thanks again. I am sorry it took me so long to get back to you. It's been hectic. The piano was made around 1910 by the Shoninger piano company.(New York) It would be awesome if it was refinished, but would cost way too much. I guess I am more concerned about what it sounds like.Had to do a lot to resurrect it.The problem is one could put more money in it than it's worth. However i did get it for free. Thanx

Im in the same boat with my 1920 Aeolian. The case is in excellent shape and it has a warm rich tone, but it needs some work as it sounds a bit dead. Not worth the repair costs, unfortunately.

music, just like painting... you don't make gold from gold paint (that would be gaudy), you make gold from combining color effects side by side. The magic is in the making this happen. music too, only twelve notes, but an unlimited palette results. This is the marvel of creative intelligence, as we also see with 26 alphabet characters there is no end to storytelling. Eternity is the playground for possibility, and that Kingdom resides within. Happy travels.
