*Fun Fact:* John Steinbeck is a pencil addict. The author started writing session with 24 pencils He adored the most famous Blackwing Pencil, but he also favored the Mongol 480. It's said that he used 300 pencils to write _East of Eden_ and 60 for _Grapes of Wrath_ and _Cannery Row._

There’s the Blackwing 24 that was made in tribute to John Steinbeck using the pencils to write his books. The Blackwing 811 pays tribute to all of the libraries of the world. And so on. Love the video and gotta love these pencils. The best in the world.

My mom (a musician) swears by the Blackwing pencils to mark her music, because it’s dark so it’s easy to see on the sheet music, but it also comes with really good erasers, so you can erase super easily (which is very important in music). @emilydowd-arrow37513 жыл бұрын
One compare/contrast test would be loss of lead in sharpening. Quality pencils should NOT break down in sharpening so that you wind up wasting 1/3 of the pencil in the first sharpening. So, comparing lead loss w/ each sharpening is valuable for me.
@relaxium36183 жыл бұрын
I think, it's not about the pencil, it's about how pencil and individual hand pressure work together. I was highly unsatisfied with pencils in general, until I've started to use H2-H3 drawing pencils from AliExpress for both writing and sketching. Because I'm extremely heavy handed, this hardness works with me the best. Using kneaded eraser with them also works wonders. And the most satisfying thing, after almost 2 years I broke a lead, maybe once, so there's no waste of pencil lead. On a side note I really love The Tale Teller. There's even some fanfiction brewing. Thank you for this work.♥️
