A few of Cecil's accolades include: Finalist in the 2019 Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz International Guitar Competition, 1st Place Winner of the 2017 Wilson Center Jazz Guitar Competition, 1st Place Winner 2018 Lee Ritenour Six String Theory Competition. Cecil has recorded/performed with Bill Charlap, Antonio Hart, Lee Pearson, Luis Perdomo, Nathan East, and Steve LaSpina.

You are great teacher man. When there are 2 tied eight notes in the middle of a group of four you make the two eight notes a quarter by selecting the first tied eight note and pressing a quarter from the keypad. That's grammatically more correct.

On 1256 melodic you explain on minor 3rds. Root minor 3 and b5 with 1256. I interested does minor thirds play with perfect 5 or b5??

Great exercises to prepare for so improvization. The true test..play against any unknown tune and dont try to play licks. Post one bro. You must be scared! Lol

guitarists have no idea how easy they have it . we gotta do all of this on bass with strings 100x the gauge, frets at twice the distance and only 4 strings (most of the time) at our disposal

This 15 sec piece of performance at the beginning doesn't makes me want to trust this teacher. It was not beautiful and played unclear, with some ghost notes and a lack of dynamic
