Nice idea to compare the various models but perhaps don’t add different effects to each one so you can’t really compare the sounds on alike for like basis.
@3rdStoreyChemist Жыл бұрын
That’d actually require adjusting amp settings to compensate for the varying output from pickups as that impacts the tone. So literally all demos comparing guitars are pointless.

I really want a Jazzmaster. If I ever get one, I'm debating between the Vintera or the American Professional II. I want to go for a really good surf tone.
@swagedelic Жыл бұрын
Get the Vintera, It's a great guitar, I get the sounds and feel of old vintage Jazzmasters.
@Florida_Boi_321 Жыл бұрын
I too want surf tones. I had the Vintera and the Troy L. Jazzmaster, and returned them both. They just didn’t have IT. I’m now looking for an AM Pro II.

woulda been nice to include the squires - esp wihen the Mascis (being reissued soon?) is so good. perhapps another vid to cover that,. Also a quick continus comparision with the same musical part between the pickups would have bene helpful
@DirtyDirkDiggler4 ай бұрын
The J Mascis JM’s are one of the most overrated guitars in recent times I can think of. Pure hype. Those things just don’t play well no matter how many upgrades you do but then again, you get what you pay for.

The best for me is the Vintera II model , best value than American model. After that , TVL signature look very good cause it's already upgrade

Great showcase of the JM lineup! I’ve been considering buying the Troy Signature but have heard that the spring in the trem-system on JMs generally doesn’t function smoothly with heavier gauge strings - 10s or 11s, and usually needs a real good setup. Fender ships out all JMs from the Troy signature to the American Pro II, with a 9-gauge set. Are Jazzmasters built to perform best only with 9’s on them? Does the trem-system on the Copper Age JM have difficulty with heavier gauges or does it work smoothly? Do heavier gauges make them go off tune? Would love some clarity! Thank you!
@NiggaInTech Жыл бұрын
Thats the biggest myth abouth them,their literally MEANT for higher gauge strings. Fender ships them all wrong. Every common problem with Jazzmasters is fixed by slapping some 12s on that bitch.
@DelScully Жыл бұрын
not true at all man. The new AM II's have the new trem system that is the one that doesn't do well with strings above 9's but the the AVRI systems like on the TVL are perfectly fine. It's just the new spring they used in the new Trem systems that suck, hopefully they will mend it soon.

@@johnconiglio9278 oh , you can get a pretty cheap one (like Sqier cv series , you can get one like 300$ used , I recommend 40th anniversary one ) put2 PAFs or wide range humbuckers and change pots to 500k you can do all of that around 500$

Jazzmasters eat lotta money, first off, a mastery bridge, most of time you don’t like the pickups. 500$ extra.

Why does a guitar, designed to replace the warm big jazz box, sound like a tin can microphone? Honestly, presenters should leave their tonal preferences at home when showing what a guitar can do. This guitar cannot be that limited as this demo would suggest.
