It’s not just Linda’s love for music. It’s her reverence of sound for me. She is a sonic wizard!!!!!!!!!

I was fortunate enough to see her with Vijay Iyer at Newport last summer. I was blown away by her playing, and glad to find this great performance on YT. She is a fantastic artist.

This young woman is a brilliant composer and musician. She obviously borrows from so many music traditions and blends them together beautifully with passion, intelligence and humor. Truly a 21st Century musician! I can only imagine the fortitude and determination she had to have to arrive at this point in her career.

This is one of those videos I'd been putting off watching because of the run time. Today, I put it on thinking I'd check out one tune then leave the rest until later. Not only could I not stop it, I'm now watching it again! This is absolutely fantastic!! Thank you for this!

This really reminds of the same patience that Gil Evans had with ideas musically. The texture, the quiet , the space, as well as structuring the soloists with respect with the arc of the song. It's a really hard thing to pull off with a big band.

Fluidic harmony intercepts with punctual meter and it resonates the fabric of my soul. The music sets my mind weaving within inter-dimensional dreams. I am fortunate to inherit this chromatic mammon into my world. The gods of jazz were kind today.

Lilac Chaser... that wasn't fair. Haha, Matt gave us one idea of how the tune might go, then Ches, then the whole thing happens and I am SO glad they were able to record this moment. Musical magic. "Chemistry" is putting it lightly. Also, where's Linda's MacArthur Fellowship already? Y'all stalling!

lindamayhanoh.bandcamp.com/album/aventurine The label that put it out doesn't use CD's, but if you buy the physical releases they do you could get a high quality download through them.

Get it through the Biophilia label and simply download the FLAC version. As noted by the other individual, Biophilia doesn't release CDs or vinyl due to environmental concerns. But, their origami/liner notes thing they do send is amazing. Also, you might find this album right now for a ridiculous bargain on the Biophilia website.
