Dean Brown's new CD is just about to release. We had an exclusive look behind the scenes in the studio and Dean told us much about the making of the album.
Dean is well known as one of the best studio guitarists and already worked with David Sanborn, Marcus Miller, Joe Zawinul, Randy and Michael Brecker, Bill Evans, Billy Cobham, George Duke and many many more.

I grew up with Marvin "Smitty" Smith during the Jay Leno Show. He is a mixture of the styles of Harvey Mason (who plays drums for George Benson) and the late Buddy Rich (who recently passed away). Marvin's drumming grooves are so lucid and keen, because he knows when to lay back and to "let it all loose" on the drums, especially in all of the jazz styles that he knows. He knows every jazz style on the drums, and that's how I like him.
