I have a Jazzy Select (a very old production) you do NOT have to remove the seat to replace the batteries, just turn the chair to the far left, then the batteries are accessible. (the rotate handle will be forward) It can be stored with the foot plate up, you must back your chair into a parking slot or you can't get out of it. Ron W4BIN

You are correct. Marc was showing the easier way to access the batteries. Its far easier to remove the seat to access the batteries than to turn the seat but both ways can be done to resolve the changing of batteries.

Question I have a Jazzy Elite HD power chair front wheel drive what is the best way to approach a small curb with the small tip over wheels on the front.

Best bet would not to approach small curbs but if need be, pull up straight to the curb and make sure the front caster tires go over said curbing but then you have to worry about getting the drive wheels on it enough to pull you up onto the curb which could possibly be harmful if the chair happens to flip. We do not promote curb jumping in a powerchair due to safety reasons.
