hey jazzy I've owned 23 fish so I can tell u some tips....... u hv to change water once every 2 weeks... you shouldn't feed it too much.....u hv to keep it in a place where there is light like a windowsill........ pls do not use plastic plants cause u know it might release chemicals and it's actually sharp and hard and ur fish might cut itself while gliding here and there get real plants....... add some special constructions like some tiny cave like things...... add a water oxygenmachine and a filter as well cause it has to hv oxygen bubbles and what if u named ur fish pebble?????? anyways best of luck to take care of ur fish sorry it's sooooo long

Jazzy Anne if you do your research, you’ll see that betta fish actually don’t need large tanks. they’re more comfortable in a very small tank, they like their water to stay the same if that makes sense. i’ve had my betta for like three years so i think i would know 😤😤 also don’t feed him everyday cause i did that and then mine got like super bloated and fat and i had to fast him LOL. feed him like every two days

Just some tips to make your new fishy comfortable, pleaseeeee buy an air filter for him and regularly change about 25% of the water (every week or so) to make sure the bad bacteria doesn’t build up as he will be swimming in his poop remember, tap water is okay but maybe try using some pond water as the chemicals in tap water aren’t the best for fish x

Tips for beta fish: Jazzy you should get a small filter to help clean the water and it can give him air bubbles (my beta fish got more happy when I got him one). Also you should rearrange his home a last ones a month to keep him active. Beta fish likes to explore so the stuff around him is important too bc he can see the different shapes, color and it can give him entertainment. Also you should look at him and talk to him from time to time, so he can get used to seeing you and hearing you. Last one, went your beta is swimming a lot its happy:) That's all I have to say. Ok, I literally love u soooo much, but here’s some advice: You need get a tank 5 gallons or more, a filter, a heater, and I would recommend getting API Quick Start, you can just get this at any pet store, and add that and water conditioner and the tank will be safe! Hope I could help!!

The tank or the cup? I think you mean cup and yes, It's terrible. One time at Mejier, (A higher class walmart if you will) me and my twin saw the horrible conditions the betta fish were in so we cleaned their cups really quickly and fed them. It was so gross, One of the betta fish was dead and there was wite fluffy stuff coming from its body, which I think was mold.
