Yo Jazzy I got to playing lights out as well (your previous video on lights out was a good selling point). Wendy is just so good at lights out. I started it with her as well. (Non beta though shes already good without a skill tree)

Another saddling tactic for beefalo is I think if you light a dropped item on fire just under them, they’ll wake up and won’t aggro.

9:26: it was ALWAYS the weakness she was meant to have, im glad the skill tree didnt just remove it (unlike with abi's weaknesses). for ruins, all you need is a wreath and a marble suit, and let abi tank all bishop/knights with revenant restoratives and let rooks clean up statues/broken clockworks 16:43: small tip, you can simply just use escape command and she will be completely untargetable, meaning you can deaggro anything by letting abi take it, then escape 17:58: a friend told me this once, just have a fire staff ready and raids are just a joke also i wanna give some advice on some bosses thatll help the next time you plan on doin a shadow side abigail (which is just the same as normal abi lol): 1. Eye of Terror: the eye will always aggro on you if you just attack, so you leave abi on riled up, and dodge away from her. this also applies for enraged, as abi struggles to chase after the eye you just need to lure it to dash away. riled up is to have her attack eye as soon as eye stands still 2. Treeguards: i usually do a loop of letting TG aggro on me and when escape is possible stand just at a distance where abi would automatically attack agressive mobs, then use it. smaller TGs allow you to just ignore the escape thing since you have so little risk of getting hit (their range is tiny). i typically hunt for TGs before ruins just so i can get convenient DSwords. alternative source would be mushgnomes but i prefer TGs due to chopping trees with pigs early is good 3. Klaus: for gestalt abi she is just easy to use, just attack the boss and fight like every other character. for normal abi, i suggest fighting in the day as abi's AOE will attack deers, the more dmg you do to klaus the more differential in dmg you will do to him compared to deers. just need to manage abi's positioning to not hit deers immediately after every dodge, and throw on spectral when she gets low, i find this a lot more engaging as it does mean if i do worse abi will kill the deers, while not being so strict 4. Dfly: tank lol 5. Moose/goose: also tank lol lol. should kill the children first since its more convenient at night 6. Ancient guardian: best to use normal abi with a vigor mortis and fight as anyone, often abi will be the one to get aggro so you gotta dodge slightly early 7. Antlion: you literally dont have to fight lmao, leave abi on riled up and she will solo XD 8. Crabking: you just fight as normal, can even do 3+ purples with abi around, throw on Spectral Cureall if she gets hurt and they wont be an issue, tho the big crab guards have aoe so cant fully ignore em (also i love CK now its such a fun fight, i now use normal boat since grass raft auto breaks from towers impaling :D) 9. CC: oh boy, its real interesting and fun, i can fight him with 15 green caps, a thule crown or 2, cane, mag and thats all, hes insanely fun to practice! phase 1 you unsummon whenever you have time, just need to know when. phase 2, unsummon whenever it spins as if it hits abi it will not end early as it would with players. use escape -> unsummon if you accidentally left abi to get hit, very riskless. fun fact: abi will 99% of the time get hit by the single target attacks (basic melee and the spike summon attacks) for some reason, you can be fancy and use escape to make her dodge it, as you also wont get hit but just hold f for those. phase 3: with gestalt abi you just fight as any other character, but with normal abi its really interesting: you leave her riled up so that the boss will always do its basic melee attack (if you play without any lag, you can just use escape command on reaction, if you play with 200+ ping you just need to time a bit). its best to use vigor mortis on her to chase the boss better. ONLY attack you need to watch out for is the gestalt summoning attack which will kill her fast, but you just need to use escape and run outside the range as she will run away fast before going back into the boss. you can be more careful and let abi do dmg to it on her own whenever there are crystals in the way, or if she needs healing and you need to focus on using commands carefully genuinely, never had SO much fun theory crafting with a boss more than this, abi is just an allstar and commands are so fun to use!!!! 10. Nightmare Werepig: real easy with normal version. position yourself so that werepig will run between you and abi, you sidestep, then attack, due to abi's slow speed she will not move until after the attack, then both wendy and abi can just beat the poor guy up. when he starts slamming you can just rile abi up with spectral as he attacks very slowly, and all you need to do is hold attack once he attacks abi for massive damage. 11. Twins: pain. before enrage they're managable (of course, fighting seperately). but after that you need to be careful and dodge as you would with normal eye, but since you can not summon with em near you either run away and summon, then do the dodging normally. 12. Deerclops (lmao the order of the bosses in the vid XD): 2 ways to do this fight without tanking: you use attack at to position abi to be behind dc a bit early so that you can get in the last hit -> deerclops attacks you instead of abi or you use attack at late and let abi go in the direction that lets her escape dc's attack range the fastest for Winter's Feast DC, i havent had a successful clean fight but attack at+abi with the 2nd method seems to work, just need to know when the laser happens since its a lot shorter on start-up 12.5. Mutated Deerclops, you can let her tank everything with BS3 if you really wanted to but that'd just waste time and resources lol. you just summon her during stunned state, then use attack at to reposition abi to far away, just enough so that abi comes back when deerclops isnt attacking, whereas gestalt abi will be just fine on her own (she can also just tank the icycles, if you want to lol 13. Varg: best to fight when no fire dogs are around as they ruin everything, blue hounds are a lot simpler to deal with. this fight is pretty simple, normal abi does well since she has her shield, throw on a Spectral Cureall or a Distilled Vengance, the former being a lot simpler. 13.5. when its mutated you do the exact same but just let abi take aggro when it spits out cold flames for easy stun 14. Frostjaw: its really simple, with gestalt abi. with normal abi, just attack with her behind him, then decide between 2 methods: attack at to behind him and let her tank, or escape and walk behind him. he is also tankable if you want to use marble suit but really costly 15. Scrappy Werepig: simplest answer: either gestalt abi and fight as any other character, or tank with marble suit and normal abi behind him (you only need 1 marble suit and a headgear armor, he does not even do 75 dmg on wendy after the fight ends) and hold attack, nothing more nothing less 16; Shadow Pieces: Clear winner is normal abi, as she can keep constant aggro on 1 or 2 of the bosses at a time and let you have some personal 1-on-1 time with your target (they will CONSTANTLY find moments to redirect aggro onto you so gestalt abi can not do that). whenever you do this you just use attack-at at the spot of 1-2 bosses you want to keep distracted, then you go off (best strat is still just knight-bishop-rook). for phase 2 wiith bishop and rook i like to keep abi on rook to just fight bishop solo, and use escape command whenever rook attacks (i think attack at is better for this as she runs very fast and can dodge rook, since escape will make abi run towards you and not stay on the rook). on phase 3 i just attack 5 times, let abi take rook's aggro, and escape on reaction, rinse and repeat. idk about gestalt abi because she is so single target and i dont think that will help wendy as much, but this isnt based on experience since i havent tried gestalt much yet 17. Bearger: its a lot simpler with normal abi than gestalt, since he is a cone hitbox boss and gestalt can just go RIGHT in front whenever she attacks him. you just use attack at before you engage, position yourself so that you just have abi behind bearger at all times, while you walk between 2 points on his feet where bearger cant hit you, and just have abi take aggro when he slams + escape. afterwards just reposition yourself so the loop and continue. rinse and repeat 17.5. Mutated gets a LOT more interesting and hectic, since his attacks move him forward, same strat will not work beyond his 1st attack. you can still just walk to in front of him so that abi is behind him before he starts his reverse jump. when he does jump, either unsummon her and fight normally or rile her up, let her take aggro and tank the slam as you get your planar hits in. all you need is Spectral Cureall to fix her up whenever she's low 17.6. BIG tip: when you see bearger isn't stunned as youre doing the abi summon animation, you can inspect anything and it will not summon her, its very easy even with lag (the way i always with with my friend in beta currently lol) 18. FW: oh boy for normal abi its best to just tank with abi behind FW as his attack is a semi circle, and only his slam does any damage to her, which you can just use Spectral whenever she gets low. when he does summon the funny hands and woven shitlings, brightshade staff will deal with it all, but if you dont you can let abi stay on FW, all you need to do is be careful with her health as you deal with the hands, because the wovens are easy for her to deal with. or if you want something similar to other characters you just walk him around the arena with abi unsummoned (or just use attack at constantly to deal with wovens while you walk around). be careful with abi on FW, as the shield that he has for some reason ACTUALLY does damage and will be able to KB abi. Attack at for some reason makes abi untargetable at the end of it, so FW won't keep its aggro on her :( what an annoying bug for gestalt abi, shes just as normal abi but less maintanance, you just use her attack at for wovens when needed while walking around the arena. and yea brightshade staff will make it a cake walk 19. Ink Trio: just rile abi up, normal is better since she stays near all of em and keeps aggro. just heal her up as needed. 19 again. Ink Rictus: use attack at for the hitbox, then kill as normal 20. Toad: just keep her riled up on toad, not much more to say other than heal her whenever needed, i think revenant restorative is good to use unlike all other bosses 21. Malba: just the same as anyone, tho you should use attack at so abi gets positioned behind malba (i suggest summoning when malba has gotten deep into the boat for convenience) also i just wish abigail's BS3 skill was harder to achieve than 'go to pearl's/lunar island'

Gestalt abi waa made for strong hitting bosses, and I think it's made for casual players where they're not trying to boss rush, just playing with friends so they can switch forms in between

Crazy to think that this game got more update in it's first 4 years than in the last 6 years since selling out to 10cent. All they do is lazily change characters for the sake of selling skins, which at this point are likely ai generated like most games these days. Not surprised all the content creators moved on to different games. The Beard now averages 10-15k views when he used to get 500k-1mil views per vid. The interest just isn't there anymore.

Why is it that after the recent update, Abigail's Gestalt doesn't move quickly away from enemies after attacking like it did in the early beta? It was way more agile before. Now, especially in fights against Celestial, it feels pretty useless.

One of the more recent updates added a second of hesitation where Abi is vulnerable to counter attack, seems absolutely brutal in fights like NW where the boss can counter quickly.
