This aired 11 months ago..Since then recently Jb has quit Bull riding..i still like to look up these old shows and watch him ride. He was my favorite Bull rider. He had a good career made alot of money..he has a family now so its good he made that decision..he has a daughter to raise. No more injuries for JB Mauney. He has alot of life to live. Rode the horses several times, but they wouldn't ever let me get on a bull. Looking back now, I should have tried and asked harder...

My son and I were talking about bull riders the other day. When you see someone like Tuff Hedeman, and JB, both having had their share of very serious injuries, you just have to admit along with their skills and bravery... determination. What a treat to watch JB coach newbies! How lucky can you get? But as i watch these guys get ready for their first ride, I feel like I'm going to pass out! Aw, but kind of cute , That last bull really just sort of walked/lumbered in a circle..his high kicking days are long over, but the guy stayed on pretty well and even an old slow bull is a challenge. Lots of fun and god on them for trying! Very glad no one got hurt. And I have always adored JB Mauney.

These 2 did great! I rode bulls for 10 years every week (except for injuriy times) then another 4 years that I could not ride a bull that kicked over my ankle and I still remember my first 2 rides!

Great video! Brings back alot of memories. I moved to Colorado , attended several Richy Tavener bull riding schools and later Gary Woods. Fell in love with the sport. Bucking out with the snow covered mountains as a backdrop. Western! Met Tuff Heidaman at the Grizzly Rose and he actually told me to be safe! Got to buck out some Bob Burger bulls way up North and could swear Ty Murrays twin pulled my rope. Wouldn't trade the experience even with al the injuries. Bull riders have the greatest sportsmanship and comradery! If you have the opportunity do it!

J.B. is just a good ol' country boy who happened to be talented and tough as nails. He proof that if you love something enough you can make money doing it, even if kills you trying to get there. I grew up with and have a bunch of friends just like him. I like the fact he's just a normal guy despite the fact that he's one of the best to ever get on a bull.
