2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 LTZ SC: I Finally Found One!

I just picked up a 25 Silverado 3500 LTZ Duramax Trailboss, in Cypress Grey. This thing is absolutely stunning! Has the deployable running boards. I didn't get the multiflex tail gate. I would never fully utilize it. Coming from a 16 Ram 2500, Laramie, Cummins, this thing, is definitely a step up! Love it!

I just took delivery of my '25 LTZ Trail boss and I have everything this truck has except the auto steps. Mine stickered $400 less than this truck and I prefer it because I hate chrome. I have steps ordered and will install them myself and save almost $1k. I have a 2500 and I got the max tow package. My payload is 3494 and towing is 20,000 conventional and 21,600 5th wheel.

I got the LTZ TB with L8T gas. Agree I don’t like the chrome. I put the Amp steps on for $1500.

I order the GMC AT4 with the max tow. Stayed away from the 3500 since the GVWR was 12,100 which puts me into an F plate (more $$$) and then towing a 14k trailer would be CDL time.

Just traded in my ‘23 2500 LT with chrome sport package. I was on the hunt for the blacked out sport package when it came available. The chrome sport package slowly grew on me.

JB, I just picked up my new 2024 LTZ this week, Radiant Red, black out badging, has the dark Gideon interior and it has that same trim on the console as the truck you are reviewing. Traded in my 2021 LTZ,thanks Dave

I have the 24 LT 2500 Duramax. The 6 seater . I like the trim in the LTZ . I am extremely happy with my Dark Ash ! It took me a year to find the trim and color I wanted for my retirement truck !!!

Summit White!!!!!!!!! My next truck will be Summit White, since I don't care for any of the "real" colors. My current truck is an antiquated 2009 Silver Birch Metallic, which is a color I wish would get resurrected.

I pretty much have this exact same config, just in slate gray but with blackout instead of the chrome but in the 3500 plus a sunroof. The running boards are much nicer than the aftermarket ones that I purchased for my '23. Sticker was only 86,500 so very little to step up to a 1 ton.

The enhanced heating turns the heated seats and steering wheel on. It sets the truck to idle at 1000 rpm when you remote start

14:58 It blows me away that a new 2500HD has close to the same GVWR as my antiquated 2009 3500HD DUALLY, which is either 11,200 or 11,400 ( I can never remember which it is)

Two things that come to mind for me; my 2024 Silverado 2500HD LTZ has pretty much exactly the same options as the one in this video, other than mine has the 6.6L gas engine, and my bumpers are chrome. Other than the fact that I just didn't want the Duramax diesel, I wouldn't have gotten the truck with the diesel engine anyway because for me, payload capacity is more important than towing capacity since I'm planning on putting a truck camper on the back of mine. When you get the Duramax engine, your payload capacity goes down by several hundred pounds because the Duramax engine is quite a bit heavier that the gasser. I noticed the payload capacity on this truck is 3,020. It's 3,461 on my gasser. The curb weight on the one in this video is 8,280. Mine is 7,339. Anything that adds weight to the truck takes away from your payload capacity. Sure, you can tow more with the Duramax if that's what you're looking for. But the difference in the towing capacity between the two wasn't enough to make the difference for me anyway. Good video!

they give you a higher GVWR on diesel, still though payload is higher on gas....23 high country had 3500lbs where my 24 duramax SLT is 3100lbs....if you get max trailering its brings it up equal to gas

I've got the same truck 24 model, except for chrome bumpers and aftermarket running board, and soft tonneau. I really liked the looks of those wheels but I took mine off and got some chrome 18's with 35" falkens, rides better.

same build as my 24 GMC 2500 SLT except no tech pkg.....82k sticker, paid 73k they had a max tow as well for same price which I should have got....think it was like $400 more my payload is 3189 I believe, which is plenty I dont mind the chrome....I can go either way, they both look good I have wood on center console sides

That’s an awesome truck. It’s a shame though they don’t allow any other color except black. If you could get that in red it would be absolutely fire. That is interesting about the GVWR. That’s the first time I’ve seen a Chevy that wasn’t either 10,000 or 11,350. The Denalis have been 11,300 the entire time think (since 2020 mean).

At this point You may as well just get a High Country. It looks just like one. Except you can’t get the tri coat pearl white and a sport package together. And the Pearl White is night and day different and way better looking than Summit White. . You are roughly 5,000 to $7000 more for aHigh Country.l. Which is a relatively negligible amount of money when you’re looking at a vehicle over 85K to begin with. No matter which way you slice it’s a lot money and expensive regardless of what one you buy.

To answer his question, the wood trim on the center console is exactly the same on the 2024. Honesstly, I've been looking at videos of the 2025, since I have the 2024 Silverado 2500HD LTZ, and I haven't been able to determine what the difference is between the 2024 & 2025. Visually, I don't see anything different.

The tow/haul mode switch was moved from the shifter to a knob on the left side of the dash by where the light switch is.

My 2024 custom doesn't have consol at all just jump seat with consol and under storage along with old interior

There's a difference between "high idle" and "elevated idle" - the mode you showed here is "elevated idle". PLEASE use the correct term when talking about "elevated idle" as this truck has. Calling it "high idle switch" or "high idle" has created a lot of confusion in your other video. Anyone that is new to GM trucks will also get confused. Elevated Idle is for "warm up" High Idle would be for things such as "running it at higher RPM" to run a PTO or lots of auxiliary lights like on a work truck with a service body, or ambulance / first responder vehicle.

Multiflex tailgate is pretty much useless for someone that does a lot of towing. If you use the flip down mode, that tailgate will smack the hitch ball, or the ball mount.

i disagree on that one. i have the multiflex on a gmc half ton. i use it all the time just not in the fully deployed step mode. that you are correct is useless with a hitch in... the small center portion that folds down work great as a place to secure long lumber and i have a decked toolbox in the bed so the flip up portion works as an extension/load stop that sits nearly flat with the top of the toolbox. ive even secured cargo to the tailgate with the step portion flipped up to help secure it. not saying id have to have it but i find myaelf using it much more than i thought i would even though i always have a hitch in.

I’ve had both steps the Oem are much better I’d just buy a high country I buy a new truck every year my 22 was a ltz because the high country was on hold the seats are much better trim in high country

Piano Black is nasty - it produces an obnoxious glare in the right sun angle. If the designers actually DROVE the vehicles the designed, they'd ditch the nonsensical piano black interior bits.

Just an FYI, the guy doing this video mentions the 'functional hood scoop' on the truck. Actually, it's not a functional hood scoop. It's for appearance. I have the 2024 Silverado 2500HD LTZ that has the same hood scoop, and it's just for looks. If you look inside it, there's a solid piece of plastic you're looking at.

@@carlpreston1680 Mine is a gas, and the one in this video is a diesel, but when he had the hood open, it didn't look like the air was being directed anywhere, but I could be wrong. It may be that it is a functional scoop on the diesel.
