I'm retired now & have some free time to go through the coins hoping to find some valuable ones. I sat down today & picked up a Lincoln penny: 1982 D I spoke to Google & he told me to have it valued. 1982 has some valuable Lincoln pennies; they say.

I've been weighing the 82's that I have been saving for a while. I was wondering what the mint tolerance was on the weight of the planchets. I seem to have some that are lighter but not light enough to be near the weight of the zinc. Did the mint perhaps experiment some on different alloys during the production run of coins at both mints? If so that would be something to soothe my mind. It is worrying me because I also use this scale for powder reloading and it has been spot on until this. Perhaps RCBS might have to repair or replace it. Anyhow at least this is making me think. Thank you.
