What a beautiful tribute to your mom. When you were at the window and you spoke to her she heard you, her breaths became quicker, she knew you were there. She loved you. Our moms and their love for their children cannot be quantified or explained with words. Their presence is comforting because their love is UNCONDITIONAL even when we make them mad or disappoint them. Moms are our refuge from a harsh world and when they cross over that void is never filled. Happy Mother’s Day to your mom in heaven.

I'm so sorry Jeff about your Mother's passing. Thankyou so much for sharing her story for Mother's day, when I first watch History Hunter months ago, I was watching the Graceland trip, I'm so glad that you had a chance to take her to see Elvis home. My favorite part was when you ask her why she like Elvis? Her reply was "He Loves The Lord." That part really made me a fan of History Hunter. I know your Mom is in Heaven with Jesus, with no more pain and suffering.🙂

Jeff, you have my sincere sympathy and condolence. I know how heart rendering and painful losing a mother can be. I remember watching the episode of your visit to Graceland. Your mother looked like a young child visiting Disneyland or any other fun place for the first time. She looked like she was, literally beaming with joy. My own mother passed away on 31 March 1993. She suffered from heart disease and complications from Diabetes. I had made a promise to mom that I would stay by her side when other siblings weren't there because, she was afraid to be left alone. I was sitting by her bedside, holding her hand when three nurses came into her room and said that I'd have to leave. I told them no, I had made a promise to not leave. The senior nurse threatened to call security it I didn't leave. After 20 minutes or so, I walked back into her room, the three nurses were side by side against the wall looking confused and scared. I immediately looked at the machine that records heart beats and oxygen and, there was just a long straight line. I knew that my mother was gone. I screamed at those nurses, called them, I don't remember what all i said but slowly, they left the room. My older sister came into the room after my tirade and we both broke down. Yes Jeff, I know that pain you felt. Thank you for sharing these precious memories of your mother. Stan in Ceres.

This video hit me really hard. My name is Jeff also, what a coincidence ! I’m 60 years old and am going through the same thing with my own Mother. Started with a little dementia back in 2008 and progressed slowly over the years with the occasional weird things like a small car accidents that were unexplainable. We had to finally take the keys away in 2018 because she ran into a pole at the store and it caused a fuel line to break loose and burned the car up right there. That was very hard on her to have her freedom to get around taken away. In 2020 I was visiting her at home and she asked me who I was and I had to show her pictures and tell her I’m your son Jeff. Very hard moment to swallow there. I’ve been a Truck Driver for 25 years and can’t quite until 2027 so I feel bad so often knowing my time with her is coming to an end and I can’t see her more. We have a nurse that comes by every day and stays with her. This video parallels my life and my families life in so many ways. My father was Coast Guard and I served in the Air Force. He past away in 1996 of Colon Cancer at age 56 very young. Mom never remarried and lives alone . Thanks for posting this video I cried off and on all the way through because of the similarities. Love your videos. I live in Texas but have lots of family in California and I drive out there often. Oh my mother was born in Duncan Oklahoma.

Hi. You and I were in the same place in January 1977. I also was at the Carter Inauguration. I went to the party at Union Station. Arlo Guthrie and Hoyt Axton were performing in one area but I enjoyed the Duke Ellington band perform. I absolutely love Big Band music. According to Jewish tradition once a soul is created it never ceases to exist. After death the soul is no longer confined to one place. A soul can be many places at the same time. Just sit back and enjoy your mother's visits. May you be blessed. You are a wonderful son!

This is a very sweet emotional tribute to your mom Jeff… 😘🌹✨ I am sure you were a good son to her 😢 So good you where able to take her to that trip to Graceland when she was getting old! Today, October the 4th 2024 it is my mother’s birthday; she became 87 years old today! I do love here so much, I was happy to go to her with my older sister to hug her and celebrate 🎉 another birthday 🎂💐🎁. My brother went yesterday cause he had to go away this weekend, I am the youngest. My sweet dad past away in September 2011, at 72 years old, he also had dementia. So she is alone for many years now, sits in a wheelchair but is very good taken care of in an elderly home. And today is also Animals Day in the Netherlands! My mother always loved animals so my sister brought her dog 🐶 with her. I have a warm loving childhood to remember, a good place in my heart. ❤️

My great grandma is gone now(2012) and she had declining health as well from a fall. She also had those old Westerns turned up loud and had to find the remote to turn the TV down that reminded of her, so I started tearing up. 💕

She seemed to be an awesome mom and loved you and your siblings a lot! Your very lucky to have a mom like that! Just remember all those good times and keep them close to heart and up in your mind when you want to remember her and put a smile on your face when you think of something funny you two did together or a special moment you had with her. Unfortunately I know that pain of losing a mom too. I lost my mom in April 1991, a few days after my 16th birthday. She was 34 when she passed away due to an aneurysm. I miss her more than anything! And the relationship you had with your mom reminds me of the one I had with my mom. I’ll keep you and your mom in my prayers too! P.S. my mom was a big Elvis Presley fan as well and I suppose that’s why I still am to this day. I know your not a big fan of him, but that’s ok. Haha! Well take care now and I’ll be checking in again next week for another video. And again, excellent job on this video! I have to go wipe a couple tears outta my eyes now too! I fell in love with the valley during my tour there and two of my grandkids were born at the hospital on the base there. The valley is full of hardworking conservative people. Jeff, I don't think any of us fully appreciate our parents until they're gone. I lost both my mom and dad back in 2007. They were married over 60 years and died 6 weeks apart - dad first and then mom. My parents had told us kids that they never wanted to end up in nursing homes at the end of their lives like so many of their relatives had. I believe that God honored their request in that regard and took them home before it came to that. My mom and dad died in Christ Jesus and as much as I miss them every day, I know that I'll see them again.

Jeff, what a wonderful tribute to your mom, this day, Mother's Day 2021. Recently, we went through much the same with my wife's mother. Oh how I hate dementia and what it does to our loved ones. How wonderful however that you have all of this video footage and photographs of her along with a very detailed account of her life. You were a very loving son to her especially when she needed you most. You are correct in how our current pandemic situation has alienated our families in such an inhumane way. It is inexcusable. My heart cries out to those that are feeling abandoned and separated from their family and friends. Please know that your mother is restored in all ways and is in the loving arms of our Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven, where we will be united in that 'great gettin' up morning' in the air. Thank you so much for sharing your mom with us Jeff. Now, I have to go dry all my tears from my computer keyboard. .....Russell D.

Wow, so touching. What a beautiful, loving family. I lived in Merced Ca, volunteered in Livingston, spent time in Modesto, so know several places she lived. I hope we crossed paths, who knows. What a loving son, beautiful and moving video.

I re-watched your video about Graceland this weekend. This episode was more understandable after viewing that one. I am so sorry for your loss.
