Thanks for posting this video, Pretty sure I have the Gen 1 version of this speaker like the one you demonstrate with. Other videos of the Charge 3 seem a little bit different in assembly. I have now replaced the battery in my JBL and given it another 5+ years of life! People doing demonstrations like this keep us from being a throw away/replace society. Its better for the environment when you can repair vs replace.

Just replaced my battery today, it seems to be charging normally vs going 0 to full in a couple minutes like the swollen battery did. My battery didn't come with the adhesive padding and I didn't want to take out the heat gun to remove it from the old battery. Instead took the old padding by rolling it off with my thumb while also rolling off whatever stubborn adhesive stayed on the battery, it wasn't perfect and there were a couple of rips but overall it was good enough. Thanks for the vid!

I managed to follow the steps and replace the battery! Working as new now! PS: F%$@ng screws! This is a one-time repair for me 😂

I bought the wrong battery . Is there a fix for that? Or do I have to buy the other (correct) battery?

I did the same. Thinking of mirroring the wires in the connector. Did you end up doing that as well and does it work?

I changed battery.. But still it can't be charged.. Lights are not blinking during charging as usual

charging issue may be bcoz of 1.faulty battery or 2.faulty charging pin/loose connection... Actually battery has 2types of pins hope u have connected the correct colour pattern based on ur old battery... If pin is not broken or connection is good and battery is connected correctly thn i am not sure bro may be need to check its board..

One of the two speakers on my charge 3 is broken and on low volume (30-40-50%) it gives bad sounds so I need to replace it, just the left one so if anyone knows from where can i buy one of them and I need original one, not fake, please just left a link in comment, thanks alot
