I really liked how you restored the cracked plastic. I heard that backing power and superglue works wonder too. I have a BOSE SoundLink Mini II and the sound is amazing too. Really nice bass. Surprising how much bass these tiny things can produce!
@RestoreTechnique3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Backing power? You mean baking powder? What does that do, never heard of that combination before, intrigued.
@an3k3 жыл бұрын
@@RestoreTechnique Oh sorry, yes, baking powder :) In combination with superglue you can fill holes and (more importantly) replace broken off pieces of plastic. EDIT: Wow, so many typos. I should leave a voice message instead!

My one is almost 7 years old, not had a lot of use but never seemed to get to 5 dots charging. Then tonight tried using it with my Zwift set up I have put together at my mums for when I visit her during winter, and it was making all these farty noises like the bass units had blown, thought it had died on me until I looked and the battery had gone from 4 dots to 1 in about 5 mins, so I took a USB out from the PC and plugged it in and sounded good as new..... battery is clearly gubbed. New 7000Mah one ordered from scamazon, should get some more years out of it! Love videos like this on you tube....

Still rocking my Charge 3 been solid, I'm sure the battery could use a preemptive replacement at this point it doesn't hold quite the charge it used to but still completely functional. Good to know it actually comes apart and goes back together really nicely if you have some finesse.

I've got a JBL Charge 2+ that's still going strong and I like it. What I *don't* recommend are the Oontz Angle speakers from Cambridge Soundworks. Their water resistance is inferior and the circuit board inside corrodes past the point of repair. I bought 3 different models over the course of a year, and 2 of them failed within weeks of each other (total life span of about 3 - 3.5 years).

Same problem with my charge 3 swollen batt...and cracked up screw holes in the batt cover, I used crazy glue but will have to strengthen with plastic welding. I can't afford a new batt...when it's imported into my country Trinidad it'll cost around $700.00 TT dollars plus customs and other fees. 😣 I have no other choice but to play it with batt... attached and hanging outside of case. Stuff a piece of cloth in one end to get good base. Such is life for some.

Those replacements are more like about 2000mah. They look suspiciously like the 2S 7.4 batteries I ordered for my old drone. I'm fixing one of these for a friend, and the battery in hers is almost 1.5 times the width it should be. I'm surprised it didn't catch on fire. Great vid btw.

Great work of art, only small downside there is no automatic translator on this video it's a bit of a shame even if there isn't much dialogue otherwise well done I still said to myself that the color would be better after washing, we would have to find a way to re-dye the hull.... A little Hello from France...
