I mean, it's loud enough depending on what you're using it for. If you're using it outside to fill up the patio or something that no it's not... Also, if you listen to the music at a high volume, than your battery dies faster. Sounds like you are wanting a speaker for outdoors for a party... Battery life is dependent on usage and volume.
