Hey Steph....can U help me out? pls tell me which I should choose between this jbl and Sennheiser HD 4.40BT I am more into bass , but i can't allow bass to eat up the vocals does this jbl lose the vocals (drop the sound) when the bass booms and hit? what about the sound clarity btween this and sennheiser HD4.40 and pls dont compare them with the build quality or the additional features whatsoever any help would be considered as a boon..... hoping u wuld reply at d earliest.....cheers!!!!

Personally, I have the 500bt's and if you pair them with the jbl headphone app you can increase bass and plus the signature jbl sound it makes it an overall great experience.

Hi I own the live 400BT there great value for the price , they do take a few hours to burn in , no problems with bluetooth connection, has great features plus an app for EQ & firmware updates , great sound like the on ear as they don't make my ears hot only thing i don't like is the headphone controls still getting use to them after 6 weeks , but for just over $100 there fantastic !!! ps love the they can connect to 2 devices at the same time !

Im a runner in past i loved the JBL es45 & es50 series blutooth headphones ...my concern these Jbl Live 500 series look a little heavy for sure the ear cups are larger But excited by kniwing Jbls wisdom made it this way for your extra emphasis on its spacial parameters. I was a Pro Av guy since 1984. Jbl very respected name in Pro Audio Lol in high school 1975 to 1978 I owned a 64 Chevy Belaire (Named The Bomb) 4 door tank... Same car used in Up in Smoke and Saturday Night Fever ...travolta...its in the part were there on Brooklyn bridge Awesome slant 6 ...anyways 4 JBL Triaxles. Or were they Jeson Triaxles... Bottom line 1978 Van Halen came out 1st Album ... I Cranked Up Eruption with ygat Quandiphonic system & i heard Guitar God Eddie Van Halen ....RIP BROTHER

Guys I need some help. I can't chose between these and the Sony MDR-XB950N1. Both are exactly €133 new and both get amazing reviews. The JBL has longer batterylife and the awesome quick charge feature. The Sony on the other hand has NFC and people more often say great thing about the sound. The JBL is lighter and looks more comfortable, but then again you can't know this if you haven't worn them. Plzz help me out. If you own one of the two (or both), tell me what you like about them and tell me what you don't. I hope I can make a decision based on some oppinions from owners 👍

I reacently got mine and the same day i did, i used them for a call.. i really like the quality, when calling. I didn't feel like I was talking too loud or muffled out. I asked my friend if I sounded clear and he said yes. :)

Hi! Thanks for the review :-) I'm in the search for bluetooth over-ear headset without noise cancelling. I had a pair of those most expensive Sony newest ones, but I simply don't like or need noise cancellation, so I returned them. I also felt the sound was a little muddy. How are these JBL LIVE 500BT compared to Sennheiser HD 4.40BT? I'm even looking at the Jabra Move Style Edition (even though they're on-ears)

Good to hear that it’s better than the E series, which wasn’t terrible by any means but definitely didn’t have a lot of airiness, for sure.

Right on! Thanks for sharing your experience with it-- Your comment is making me realize I need to clarify something: I think there are 2 types of air. One is a feeling, one is audible and a texture (notating a frequency boost at the base of the upper octave, somewhere between 10 and 12 kHz). Audble airiness is something that emphasizes breathiness in vocals, for example. Just to be clear so folks reading and watching are aware, when I said "air" in this case, it is the audible type of air (which makes breaths, string sweeps, etc, louder in the mix than usual) as opposed to the feeling of air, which you get with higher end headphones with high frequency extension.

This is what I'm trying to figure out too. Most bluetooth headphones suck and don't have very loud sound volume for music they usually have more bass than volume but I rather have more volume than bass.

I wouldn’t just because the cloth material may absorb the sweat along with the ear cups. Generally I think over ear are not good for working out I’d go with something more simple. Headphones like these are for more entertainment and audiophiles like me 😂

Personally 4 me if ur a bass head u will luv da XB700s - if not u may wanna try the 500BTs or Sony CH700Ns cuz I didn’t like alla dat bass at all it was 2 muddy 4 other music genres 😭🤦🏽‍♂️ (also those r on-ear and their clamping force hurt my ears sadly after prolonged usage - 3+ hrs)

Yes but you're going to need a female to male splitter cable for the mic to work. Otherwise bluetooth works but the quality is a bit too low I'd say

Ehh honestly, not a super big head. If you have a big head and large ears, I'd recommend going with something by Audio Technica. Their cans usually have a better band and earpads for larger heads.

I've owned sony headphones before I bought these. I was disappointed with the audio quality of this headphone. It's not bad but you can buy way cheaper headphones with the same audio quality. Plus, it feels uncomfortable when you wear it for a long time. By long time i mean 3hrs. I don't recommend this.

Yo u should do cartoon voiceovers no cap...lol 🔥EDIT: I’ve actually bought em myself to test out - turns out the clamp force is killing me, sadly too cuz the sound is hella decent - everything from Pink Floyd, classical, EDM, or Baby Face Ray. Bass is definitely there but it ain’t overwhelming like the Sony XB700s . If u don’t have a fat head like me (I guess 🥴🤦🏽‍♂️) avoid - I’ve got those Sennheiser 4.40 BT on the way and will likely replace the ear pads wit sum frm brainwavz

The JBL live 650 has noise cancelling but not a noise cancelling microphone whereas these have a noise cancelling microphone and 10mm larger drivers 50mm vs 40mm. Hope this helps I'm trying to figure out the same thing, they are rated better on versus the 500' s. Basically I think it comes down to whether you want better call Quality or noise Cancelling headphones, I would go with the noise cancelling headphones if you travel often riding subways buses trains planes xcetera or just like the noise cancelling for Peace otherwise the 500 are better on paper. They both have their pluses and minuses, fortunately/unfortunately: ). You will definitely be happy with either pair, they're both Quality in my opinion. : )Tyler
