Charge 5 is the better option. It has lower treble so your able to raise the volume higher without it sounding annoying unlike the Pulse 5 with it's higher treble.

Pulse 5 has a more stylish sound at first glance because its treble is enhanced and gives the feeling of being more expensive But this is true only in front of the speaker of the same size ( vs charge 5 ) Pulse 5 has nothing to say compared to speakers of the same price and it is expensive only because of its lights

CHARGE 5 is louder but because speakers are more angled to mic its volume gain is pushed bit down pulse 5 is upfiring audio so mic has less of over volume issues with that Pulse 5 has treble boost bit like boombox 3 some people like it i dont because on high volume it overpowers I always do audio tests on 70-80% volume in comparisons

I like the P5 cause of it's lights and clearer sound, but the C5 is my choice cause you can bring it anywhere, and it has more bass and it's louder. Edit: I mean you can take your P5 outside but you have to take care of it to not get wet or get any sand on it cause it may get damaged.

Hey quick question I just bought my JBL pulse 5 at Best Buy open box and it's great but you know how some JBL speakers if you don't use it for more than 15 minutes they turn off automatically to save battery my pulse 5 for some reason it turns off after an hour of non use, I was gonna say does your turn off after 15 minutes or more of non-use?

It literally has the essentials, Bluetooth pairing, power on/off, party boost to pair to other speakers, and a light button to change the light theme without having to open the app everytime. You can play, pause, and skip without unlocking your phone and even turn up/down volume without even having to turn your phone on at all. It literally only has the essential buttons on the speaker

@drewzyboy they're literally on the phone and you don't even have to unlock your phone for any of them, all the other buttons is literally power on which is absolutely essential, pairing button which is essential, theme button which is more essential than the music buttons because it would be annoying to load up the app every single time you wanted to change the theme or turn the lights off, and party boost which is also essential if you have multiple speakers because you can only pair one speaker to the phone, so while you can turn on partyboost on that one speaker through the app, you can't connect any of the other speakers together because it won't work if you have multiple speakers connected to the phone.
