Guys... and IP audio, If there's anyone who knows the first thing about electronics - can i wire those two parallel speakers in series to get to around 16 ohm instead of 4, or is the tweeter gonna be the problem? I can get this central unit for free, but I can't drive it, my amp can push around 50W at 8ohm, I'm more than happy with 20W through 16 ohm, but I don't know if rewiring would create disbalance for tweeter. Or maybe I can just throw in one of those 100w 12ohm resistors in series with it? I have no fkn clue ;D

That’s just the video shielding. The magnet is half the size under that metal shell. A second magnet of the same size is glued to it in the opposite polarity, and the metal shell touches both the magnets. This way, it is like there is no magnet there, and TVs are not affected. This was important for a center channel in the days of CRT displays, hence why most center channel speakers have a larger looking magnet on the mid bass speakers.
