I grew up on gizzadas, drops and grater cakes; these were snacks which women from the school district would sell at lunch time along with fritters and snow cones. Those were the good old days, nothing processed, just good wholesome local food used in the preparation, no chemicals.

Both coconut treats look so perfectly made and delicious. I ate a lot of the coconut cake growing up in the Caribbean, and not so much of the coconut pie. I am not Jamaican, but this looks similar to what I used to eat growing up. This brings back so much fun memories
