I bought my TMI kit from you guys. Worked out well!
@michaelrobinson19453 жыл бұрын
Nice instructional video. It was a big help. I used the same TMI Premium Kit, one step at a time. Used tar board, padding and carpet. It looks good and the floor is pretty well sound proofed. Now to find a good video on carpeting behind the rear sear. It's a '69 Sedan, but what I'm tearing out seems to be original square weave carpet and not a replacement as Id assumed.

My heater channels don't have a lip. I had to order some from one of your competitors. I have to weld them on. It looks like the open part of the lip faces OUT, is that correct? Thanks for the video, very helpful, as always.

That depends on the year of the car. For 1968 and earlier models the open edge faces in, for 1969 and later models it faces out.

Does the padding come with it? I am putting sound deadening material down...should I put this padding on top?
@Sam_Mebane Жыл бұрын
Padding does not come with carpet. Padding is recommended but not essential.

Should I sound proof area around heater channel??

We didn't install HushMat on the heater channels, but you can if you'd like.

Do you have a link to the carpet you installed after you installed all the carpet
@Sam_Mebane2 жыл бұрын
If you are referring to the floor mats, yes, they are linked in the "SHOW MORE" above, and here if it's easier - www.jbugs.com/product/34-M1021-COLOR.html

Do you have to remove the shifter ?
@michaelrobinson19453 жыл бұрын
Yep! I suppose you COULD do it with the shifter in place, but it would look really crappy. I was worried about that, too. And it did take multiple attempts to adjust it correctly, but it worked out. Every time we successfully do something we've never done before, we gain experience.

Ideally, yes. There are only 2 bolts, it isn't that difficult.

Is that loctite spray?
@Sam_Mebane3 жыл бұрын
No, it's a different brand we sell - www.jbugs.com/product/Sprayglue-GH.html. Any fabric to metal spray adhesive will work though.

Thanks for this video, great job. Q, do you sell the carpet padding ? I’m looking for something similar for the roof of my headliner for my 63’
@Senor-Azul3 жыл бұрын
They sell the carpet padding and offer alternatives like heat shield or hush mat.

They sell full rolls of jute pad at lowes for a decent price. How many cans of glue did you go through?
@Sam_Mebane3 жыл бұрын
For the front carpet kit, I believe it was 2 or 3 cans.
