I love ploughing with my chipped 2155 Fastrac. It ploughs just as well any other tractors I have got and I get off it at the end of a day like a Spring Lamb, rather than knackered.

Evening sir.. nice seeing the fastrac on a plough... still a nice comfortable place to spend the days.. especially if ploughing across the tramlines 😮😊.. stay safe 🏴

We've just got one of these at work with a Hiab on the back for changing pole mounted transformers, it has a tray on the back as well to carry the new tranny in. I took it out for the first time today and absolutely love the thing! I suppose it's only doing very light duties compared to the farm life.

Excellent video George, good to see you still doing “traditional ploughing” of the land, very hard going in places there! The old Fastrac was handling it with no problems. Del’s a lovely dog! 👍😊

Hi George. Always love watching you plough esp when you had the TW , we both used identical equipment to get the job done 😊. Im not sure here because ive never ploughed with a fastrac but when i plough in sticky conditions with my dp5 and 8340 ford i find that if i tweak the draft control setting it helps get through the bad patches easier as it identifies resistance from the link arms sensors to the plough. Either way George thank you for another great video😊

That Cummins sounds lovely, I used them in the Case 5150, Erf ridges where quite underpowered with them, but they seemed a good combination in the Terberg YT182 distribution tugsand pull well with a fully loaded trailer. I use to have a 5 furrow dowdwell with the ransoms parts behind a MF 3630.

Just was wondering, I've been ploughing with a John Deere 6195R with a 5 Furrow Kuhn Vari Master 123 plough. The ground is not the best but the 6195 has direct drive gearbox. I use the auto position on the tractor and can easily sit at 8.7 to 9.3 km at 1500 to 1650 rpm. The tractor adjust to the load very well.

What is the advantage of ploughing when the soil is so wet, George? I am in Australia and I would not plough in those conditions for 2 reasons .1 you are creating a hard pan and the second reason, is it takes a lot longer to breakdown hard soil after you plough .

@Rickwardful2 ай бұрын
Coz it’s far too wet to min-till and needs seriously moving to bring up some decent soil to work with
@avafw602 ай бұрын
@Rickwardful Unfortunately in those conditions it's almost impossible. As George said, he had to plough it otherwise there was no way of it ever getting a chance to dry out..

Fastracs are for driving down single carriageway lanes a 40mpg including blind bends expecting everyone to get out of the way. Or even better young lads with a trailor full of grain going around roundabouts at stupid speeds then wondering " I dont understand why it turned over"

Why do you plow in the mud? Doesn’t that make ground hard and cloudy to work up later.
