He looked so tired in this interview you could see it all over his face. Such a sweet kind loving man may he and June always rest in peace.

great post of a great man he was as sharpe an bright as ever an was a wonderful sence of humour an was always such a humle modest guy ... Brave an defiant is a good way to describe johnny cash. He was in ill health for so long .. an just got on with it an did his thing an fourght against it an lived alot longer than anyone would hae expected thru sheer love, toughness an deterinmation.

Saw Larry sitting right behind the plate at game 1 of the World Series! Remember your first World Series Larry? The Cubs flew the W in 1908....pizza had not yet been invented, nor hamburgers...so all the spectators filled their stomachs with chewing tobacco & unpasteurized beer, and smoked cigars for desert...for a nominal fee the soda-jerk served up the pre-1903 Coca-Cola...ahhh, sounds pleasant. A thing like that!

The Country Johnny's talking about is the kind of country I like, not about pickup trucks, barbecue stains on white t shirts, or over enthusiastic to the max flag waving. Johnny writes about important things.

Rice grains & medical intrusion & foley artistry? Sewed in fobs & keys? Extra wind generation or aerodynamics inserted or surgically attached to our Johnny Cash in 2001 or 1989 or 2000 or something around those times?

Nobody loves Cash more than me but always remember, people who get addicted to drugs are taking years, maybe decades, off of their lives. Live smart.
