Update: Wrote to Sandmarc about the lack of sharpness of their wide angle lense. As a result, they offer me to send it back and will reimburse me. I am now waiting for my new Shiftcam Ultralense 16mm shipping in July!

Thank you Jack for your very informative videos! I have received my 16mm a month ago, and wrote to Sandmarc about the lack of sharpness of this lense, so I am very disappointed as I had huge hope about this one. I guess my next one will be from ShiftCam!

So far I’d still say the new ShiftCam lenses are the sharper of the two sets with the best clarity looking at all the lenses!

I find the sandmarc wide lens is also sort of out of focus. At least it looks like it. Was disappointed and wanted to return it, but just decided to keep it to remind myself not to jump to buying random gear lol

Pleasant review/promo, Jack. Advice about lens clip and side by side macro comparisons, a plus. Compatibility w/future iPhones a potential issue. Would be great if Photos app could handle/desqueeze anamorphic pics. Have you tried these lenses when using the Apple Watch camera remote app? Wonder how the images would appear on the watch screen. Thank you! The 100mm Macro can only focus on subjects close to the camera, so can’t be used as a Tele for anything more than 30cm or so off in the distance. Thanks for watching! ✌🏻
