There have been so many "Marshalls in a box" over the past quarter century you would think Marshall themselves would just shrink down an actual plexi to the size of a pack of smokes
@kahlrhoam67692 жыл бұрын
Their Guv’nor II stomp box! Utterly beautiful, bubbly semi cleans rolled back, too; it sounds more alike a Randy Rhoads Model Superlead opened up.

RevivalDRIVE Hot Rod Edition - € 583.50 Marshall Studio Classic SC20H JCM 800 2203- 819 €
@ryans90293 жыл бұрын
The revival drive is much more well rounded and can do a lot more than the preamp of the Marshall. Not that the Marshall is a bad buy... It's not.. This pedal infront of it though... Wooooof

What are those pickups? P90s from SD?
@D20band3 жыл бұрын
It does sound good but dang, $700 US! You can pickup a used tube amp for that. Also if you want a floor unit you can grab a used Fractal AX8 for around there too and then you get great amp tones and tons of effects too. $700 just seems too much to justify for me at least.
@LafBoi3 жыл бұрын
I like my AX8 and all, but I’d rather invest in a handful of good pedals and the synergy system. I find myself tweaking the presets WAAYYY too much. Thank god the AX8 has declined in value on the used market so people can get an entry level taste of what fractal has to offer. Absolutely insane.
@ryans90293 жыл бұрын
It's definitely not for everyone. Some people like the endless emulation and patches end of the universe.. And others, are more plug and play.. And a pre-amp type pedal platform is more the right speed. And this pedal, honestly will do a better job at emulating very specific amp circuits than the big units.
@xiyx97483 жыл бұрын
This actually has a pleasant sound, some amps and pedals are just boring IMO even though they get good reviews

Sounds sick bro
@MFKR6963 жыл бұрын
It seems the tube section has nailed one of my favorite amps (JCM-800-2203 - They turn into real fire-breathers with a 'Drive in front of them). I might have to seriously consider picking one of these up. It's bound to be cheaper than a a modern JCM-800, and sounds better too (imo). I tried using one to test a Jackson I fancied recently, and I was pretty bloody disappointed. The 1x12 Traynor combo they had in the loud-room sounded quite a bit better, but that's not really saying much lol. Traynor is a Canadian "value" brand. They're similar to Behringer in overall quality-level.

Funny enough.. The valve rectified orange side is not the Marshall emulating side... It is killer tho. Both are.

This is definitely in DADGAD! But also uses variations that are half and whole steps down for Vanta and The Watch

Great sound but too much noise even with Zuul and it's too expensive 🤷
@sid35gb3 жыл бұрын
The pedal accurately reproduces the sound of cranked modded amps they’re noisy. Turning the gain and volume down will make a big difference and is surprisingly quiet. As for the price it’s made in England not China and the parts used are top of the line you get what you pay for.

Why use a noose gate ? This isn’t a thrash metal pedal…why would it need one ? I’ve never heard it need one in other demos…..pedal sounds killer of course regardless…
@sid35gb3 жыл бұрын
This is the first demo I’ve seen where it’s been setup to chug you’ll need a gate for that style of playing. As for the other demos they’ve been more heavy rock settings you don’t really need a gate for that.
