Just don't buy any creed Aventus manufactured between 2020-2023. You should either get 2010-2019 batches if they haven't expired yet, or get a 2024+ batch if you want a good aventus, But to be honest your probably just better off getting a brand new 2024 though just so you don't run the risk of getting ripped off or a soiled product that wasn't stored away properly over the years.

Great video! I wear Aventus to work from time to time and I love catching little whiffs of it throughout the day. There are even occasions where I go noseblind to it but other folks can still smell it. I want to say my bottle is like 2020-21 I bought it in 2023, its a best seller for a reason.

Drummer, Audio Engineer, and frag head here...the clip of this Jazz set was SUPERB!!! I think i have a greater appreciation for the way Justin reviews fragrances. It sounds obvious, but he reviews fragrances like a seasoned jazz musician approaches their art. I don't know if a 2nd channel is warranted, maybe it is...but I would truly enjoy more of this from time to time!

One thing I’ve noticed about Aventus, it lasts longer and is much louder than you think it is. I sprayed ONE spray of 20M01, on the collar of my shirt, hours before and 2 individuals stopped me to ask what I was wearing. One of them was a mailman and we were outside in a strip mall and he was several paces behind me at first. I would’ve thought it was long gone at that point, it had been hours. But sure enough, it was still there and very potent. Nose blindness is very real with Aventus… One other thing that I’m starting to notice with my older batches- they’re starting to turn. I had an 18B11 50ml, my favorite batch…kept in its box, in a closet…I busted it out recently and it had gone bad. Idk how it’s possible, I have fragrances from the 90s that don’t smell that bad…so if you have it, use it

I have a 2021-2022 ish plastic cap aventus and got a newer metal cap aventus because of an obscene discount for christmas from a small store, same day of christmas, along with a nice discount on desir toxic intense. Anyways, the metal cap (I did not know it was metal till I oppened it) is a beast, I spray around 10, and people go nuts, I haven´t have more compliments with any other parfume in my collection, including some many niches. It restarts if you sweat after many hours, I have had girls asking me if that nice smell was me and smelling me, I have had people telling me I smell nice after 8 hours (sprayed in the morning, went out from work from drinks, and got a compliment), I have had long hugs and sniffs. Even I from time to time get a slap reminding me "hey, I´m here!!". My other aventus bottle smells more dry, this one smells juicy.

I bought it a few months ago after owning most of the popular dupes. I felt like I couldn't speak with any authority if I hadn't tried/owned the original. I tried it on a tester strip in a shop and it was gone within half hour. Sauvage elixir on a strip way outperformed it, so I stupidly assumed it might last longer on skin, or I hadn't sprayed enough. I bought it from a reliable source and while I'm somewhat proud to own a bottle, it really isn't worth the money and those who own Afnan or Armaf dupes are not missing out on anything in my opinion :)

Feeling rather than smelling is not weird. A cologne is also used (or originally intended to) have a cooling effect through the evaporation.

As always, a great video, I’m sure you were aware of this but the reason why they smell slightly different is because the breakdown on the 10th anniversary is actually different. It has green notes, orange and a few other notes that regular aventus doesnt have . They are close but breakdown is a little bit different. That might be why you’ve noticed a change!

I bought Aventus last year in Greece and it performs for hours on in. The DNA may be different since it’s from overseas. It has the metal top like yours. However, I don’t get the fruity pineapple as much in this bottle. It’s a very good fragrance, not my favorite from Creed though.

I either own or have smelled dozen of batches from every year from 2010 to current. F batches with F×××××× won't show up on checkfresh. Birch tar got yanked first, then oakmoss was further restricted, than lyral. Aventus still smells great but is nothing like the older stuff.

Still a fan of Creed Aventus. I got the best reaction wearing Creed Aventus. I walked into to a bank and all the female bank tellers said hi to me at the same time as I walked in. It is the king for a reason. It just gives you a confidence boost, but with the new batches you got to give the fragrance time to mature. It does not hit right away like the previous batches.

Btw speaking of Aventus, you should definitely not sleep on Aventus Cologne, you might think at first, that it serves no place, because of similarity and that missing birch and oak moss bass, but be sure to wear it a couple of times in really hot weather, it can work magic, and its fruity too :)

I love scent dna. I picked up a bottle of Merchants of Venice Venetian Blu Intense and it is fantastic. Smells like Aventus with the amped up smokiness. Very good quality for the price.

My experience with the newer batches was similar. I recently repurchased Aventus a few months ago after finishing off my 2016-17 bottle (it was my first Aventus bottle and I wore it a lot lol) and while it still smells great and the fruity pineapple is still strong, the performance was a little shorter than the previous. Still, that hasn't deterred me from wearing it, not to mention that I also have 2 clones of it (CDNIM and Pineapple Vintage Vanilla Intense).

While I’ve never smelled a clone (any clone for that matter) I’ve smelled every Aventus Inspired fragrance from a legitimate house. With that said none smell as good as Creed’s creation. Better longevity sure they’ve achieved this, however in terms of smell and quality of natural ingredients I do not think any other house did it better. Hacivat, BTV’s Consort, Electimuss’ Imperium and Moresque’s Blue Sahara are some of the best alternative options. Jerome Epinette created some good fragrances which are obviously inspired by the Aventus DNA, such as Orchid Man, Morning Chess, and Cherry Punk. I was really disappointed with Cecile Zarokian’s Blue Satin.

I haven't smelled all the inspired takes. Neither do I desire to. But when I first smelled Aventus after owning CDNIM and MB Explorer for 3½ years prior, I was absolutely floored. As good as those smell, scent wise, Aventus is clearly superior. The sheer quality of Aventus is so blatantly obvious that it's not even funny. At that moment, I saw how the natural ingredients play a huge role in giving it that clean, rich, elevated elegance that lends to the overall experience and perception of the profile. I wasn't expecting that. I've heard one describe Creed fragrances as like smelling in 3D, lol. That has certainly been my experience. It is as different as looking at a photo of a person vs. actually looking at and interacting with the person. Call me crazy but I sold my Armaf's, After I got Aventus. I don't think my Hacivat is good enough to sell or even pass on for free. The Hacivat I have is a 2021 batch (apparently a bad batch per some research). It legit smells like it has manuer in it. It's gross. The MB Explorer I have is probably going to one of my nephews or cousins. My Aventus is a 2023 F batch with the metal cap smells incredibly good. It's balanced with all the notes showing up and drying down to a sweetened, woody musk.The bottle is still pretty new, but it lasts 8+ hrs so far. Aventus is not my #1, but it is a definite favorite. I'm happy with it. People sing it's over hyped and overrated. But I think the amount of inspired takes sings a different song. There is obviously objective greatness there. You're right. In reality, no clones exist.

Oh yeah! To add to the list of good alternatives, sharing this dna is MITH Bangkok - Mystery For Him. It's a 2023 release from the perfumer of Aventus himself. Imo It's pretty good👌

As far as I’m concerned Creed and Jean Christophe Herault created a new sub genre, the Masculine Fruity Chypre. We don’t consider every Oriental fragrance to be a dupe of Shalimar. @@caseyplunkett6083 I appreciate your replies. It's good to find people who'll actually talk with you. You make a good point. When you put it that way, it makes perfect sense that others inspired by the new genre would want to try their hand at it. And that they would use what's already established as a base foundation to build on and explore the genre. Spawning the variations of the same. Thinking of it, all genres follow that same pattern of inspired takes and variations of the same. Even new genres show traces of their inspirations. Hmm, see, this is why it's good to talk to others. Right. As far as Hérault's work for MITH, for one him not have access to that special musk exclusive to Creed already sets it in a different direction. But he does a great job without it, and it's undeniably in the Aventus-verse. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it if or when you smell it, though. God bless!

I have the new F batch as well. I wore it and hit skin and dress shirt. About 5-6 sprays and it was too much. The new batch was so strong I almost gassed myself out. Could still smell it 10-12 hours later. Do not be fooled, this new metal cap F batch is a Monster. MONSTER! Now there might be some discrepancies between. F batches (under 500, and anything over 500) my batch is F000972 and it’s a beast mode fragrance. I also have an F batch 000197 which is your average 4-6 hour Aventus. The 500+ F batches are very strong birch smelling but last a long time.

I had a bottle some years ago. My first niche (I do not include TF's Private blend). It was really amazing until I finished it and went to buy another one. The new one that I sampled didn't smelled the same. Also, the owner of the niche perfumery discouraged me to buy another one since it sold like crazy and I had told him that I didn't want to smell like other people. He suggested me other niche fragrances. Then I found my scent from another niche brand. In conclusion, the scent of Aventus is awesome. At least what it used to smell. Ideally, if there weren't batch variations and performance issues I would definitely buy another bottle. I am curious though how does the new bottle of yours compare with the Aventus Absolu. I am thinking to buy it after I test it of course since many influencers say that it has more performance.

I am fan of Adventist I have the old bottles 2 one have about 60 mil one and other one haven’t been opened both 120 ml or 4.2 l have different inspire by fragrance l only wear it own special occasion

I have found 2011 Z01 batch not so long ago, 45 out of 75 ml. In short, it's just a saturated in every aspect version of that Aventus batch you familiar with) And it's has magical mix of heavy smoke and tar and sweetest, almost jam alike pineapple and black currant. But on the other hand, unfortunatelly it's not projects and "radiate" very well, as it should. On clothes it may stuck for weeks. None of clones could come even close.

I have a 2016 bottle & I notice it’s not what it used to be.. I feel it lost the citrus notes in the opening. For a while I thought it was all in my head.. Are you experiencing the same issue? I wonder if mine went bad

The newer F batch Aventus bottles are amazing in comparison to recent years. I don’t have any issues with performance, but I probably spray a lot more than you😅. But when I wear I can smell all day and get whiffs from my wife and kids also where they’ve come into contact with me throughout the day.
