I know the JCR MJ is finished now but the stance of it when they bought it looks awesome! 35's 3inch lift! Simple and clean. Perfect for a daily or light weekend wheeler.

The first vehicle I ever bought myself was an '88 Comanche purchased in Fayetteville, NC while I was at Ft. Bragg. It was a tough little truck but one day in '92 I decided it would be a good idea to jump it, R.I.P. old friend.

This is what they should have done from the factory. They should have made these along side the Cherokee longer.

..... Nice looking, the color, and the newer grill + dash ... I've wanted to do that front end on my '88 Comanche for a while... I've had this for 12 years, and want to keep it for many more... 4.0, 4X4, 5 speed, long bed with camper shell about 14" higher than the cab... Put many bucks into it over the years...and it runs and drives perfect... Wouldn't hesitate a cross country and back trip this very second ... traded my '99 Cherokee straight across for this... So, you know I love my Comanche ..... Regards.....

love my Comanche, had been looking for one for quite a long time, finally found the exact one I wanted, needed a little bit of work took it out wheeling a few times then wrecked it in town, I have a few videos of some of the process I took to fix it, and I'm excited to almost be done so I can drive it again,

I can't imagine how many hours that dash took to swap over. Great buy.

I'm 90% sure this is the same one I was looking at on eBay. I sincerely thought about getting this one, mainly due to the no rust, and the engine swap already done. Damn, the Jeep I wanted is owned by JCR. don't know if I'm upset or honored.

One good looking truck. XJ Lover 28 yr's but Just bought a 91 Eliminator MJ ,CA, strait,Rust free 120K 4.0 HO$2500.00 spent $6500 total now,Like New(moving, working, useful 3rd jeep excuses to tell the wife"Why I Need it") and painted it about the same color,Always wanted one.In 1987 My new 87 ford ranger 2.9L"V6",thought it was hot shit,Got smoked buy a New 4.0L Eliminator. Went to jeep dealer the next day,Dam! should have bought a jeep Comanche.Cab is a bit small and off road performance is not as good as the XJ, so that's why the XJ will always be My baby.Old TV Add with The General showing all the tech Data, superior performance of the MJ. At that time, It really did out perform anything in it's class.

Other than the D35/D30, this thing is a badass. That's an easy fix though. Can't wait to see the progress of this build!

My XJ has D35/30s with the original size tyres and a 2" lift and they are as nice as they were 28 years ago. Bigger tyres are the problem, not the axles :)
