JD Update Part 1: John Deere 425 & Implements

Here's an update on the John Deere 425, and

Great machine and implements! I have a 318 with 560hrs, same cab, single stage snow blower and 4 way blade. The blade is great! I am looking to upgrade to a 425 or 445. I can't believe the deal you found on your 425! Good for you man! Good for the tractor too....looks like it found an owner who will use it well and take good care of it. I put a 16" LED lightbar on the front of the cab and a small, maybe 4", on the back. Spectacular! I snowblow my 500' driveway at afterwork, night time and the cab with LED's has changed my life:)

You really scored on those attachments! Once you get the 3-pt and rear PTO swapped from the other 425 you will have a great working tractor. They really are versatile machines and never seem to lack power for those attachments.

Yeah, it's getting crazy, I thought I was always going to be the underdog with the single stage snowblower, but luck was on my side and now I'm rocking! Good thing too, we really need it with our driveway, can't count the amount of gravel that was thrown up with our single stage. I've been trying to catch up on your videos, do you have a 36" single stage snowblower for your sears?

+lobsterbox20 sure do but I only used it 2 times so I'm looking to sell it. It worked great but I prefer the plow myself. lol

Love your set up! Does that parts 425 have a working gauge cluster? i desperately need one i am scared to over heat my 425! i have thought about making a vid of my machine, i was on craigslist one night and came across a john deere 425 for FREE on craigslist.. they were moving and could not take it.. drove it on my trailer and brought it home and mowed my yard! sometimes i still cant believe it haha! cant wait for more vids of the 425! and i would really like to see a vid of you working on the 3 point as i want one but have no clue about a 3 point hitch set up!

The temperature gauge on my 425 is not functional, I just keep the rad clean and hope for the best! WOW, you got a free 425?! How many hours on it? Yeah, I'm going to try and whip the camera out when I'm doing the 3 point hitch install.

It says 1026 hours but I am afraid it not working either.. but that does mean the cam gear should have already been replaced! They usually fail at around 800 hours.. it runs and mows really good! I am considering doing a restoration on it since I have only $100 invested in it so far.. that was for a deck belt from the dealer!

lobsterbox20 oh, very nice. I love your videos. I'm super jealous of these awesome tractors you have. I have a GT235 and a GT275. I just put a rear work light on the 275 last night. Keep these awesome videos coming!
