🔹 Here, I’ve adapted the lyrics of the beautiful Irish folk song “Siúil a Rún” to describe the feeling of a Ukrainian woman whose beloved man is going to war. This is something that Ukrainians have to go through right now because of a cruel Russian invasion that broke into our homes.
With this song, I want to thank all people who are now fighting for the freedom of Ukraine! We love you and wait for you to come back home alive!

@@esseker9680 я в самому Донецьку вже вісім років не був, тож не візьмусь щодо нього робити якісь підрахунки 🤷‍♂️ Щодо вільних від орків територій - насправді не дуже багато "підтримувавчів". А після 24 лютого, після того, що орки наробили в Бучі, Маріуполі, після ракет на вокзалі у Краматорську... Процент йолопів різко зменшився. Я думаю, що навряд чи на кожен десяток знайдеться така почвара, що зрадіє триколорній ганчірці над своїм містом. Мордор себе показав у всій "красі", і очі у дуже багатьох відкрились. Пуйло провів дуже потужну "деватизацію".

This is such a beautiful rendition of this Irish folk song, in fact, I think I prefer it in Ukrainian and the way you sing it to the way I've heard it sung in English/Gaelic. And your lyrics are so beautiful! What has always been mostly a traditional Irish song of lament became a powerful statement of both heartbreak and determination. The line you created of the tears “extinguishing the cities on fire” sent chills down my spine and tears down my face. This song isn't just about doomed love anymore. I'm half-British and half-Irish myself, and dare say this is a wonderful rendition of a tune I love. Might I suggest the Foggy Dew for your next cover, perhaps with a few Ukrainian lyrical alterations to match the present situation? It is a song of the Martyrs of 1916 who fought that Ireland might be free. It feels appropriate, in this hour when Ukraine faces the forces of tyranny and imperialism.
