Larry ! Say it isn't so.....of all cars you have ,no Datsun Z , None ! But a Honda S600 ( cool as that pigmy car is) You have to have tons, of S30's shots, to create one, two or three ,Datsun Z , Do you know just how many Z guys would have them hanging in the Garage ? Larry Chen,( Speed Hunter ) = Datsun Z !!!! That is as obvious as the lens on your camera !

Owning a '72 240Z is a social experience. EVERYONE loves that car - from guys who drive large pickups, own muscle cars, to anyone you might meet at the grocery store. I get 2-3 compliments everytime I drive my 240 with bad paint. Everyone loves that car! There is nothing like it on the roads today.

That its powered by a tweeked version of its original engine and not an RB or LS swapped thing is for me the best aspect of this car. Those flares and wheels look good, the overall package is gorgeous. Nice build fella.

The 240z goes down as one of my all-time favorite automotive designs ever. I can still remember the impact that this car had on me when it first came to the States (I wasn't even yet 10 years old.) To me, the Z's lines are simply timeless - that it only grows better looking with the passing of time is a testament to this. Conversely, in my opinion the test of time will not be nearly as kind to so many of today's cars (including the current Supra) thanks in part to the various safety regulations todays designers must try to overcome. Regulations that did not exist back when the 240z was designed.

When asked about the dyno numbers: "I don't remember the numbers" Ah, spoken like a true car guy! Very tastefully put together build though. Can't fault anything. L-series engine, triple sidedrafts, great wheels, dual stack exhaust, I mean, it all just works. I'd be envious, but I own practically the same car, but with a more stock interior and no flares. It always puts a smile on my face, thankful to have it! :D

One year later and Larry Chen can drive up in Orange Bang ! Rob at Z Car Garage put his energy into sorting out the BANG in the ORANGE. He changed the Bang in your ears and ride ,into BANG from every performance part Larry had hung on his Pride and Joy , now it's a full Samurai Japanese Ferrari. And Orange Bang is a Samurai of Z Cars today. Dec 2021. Rewatching and thinking just how much Z Larry has on his Channel. Nobody else covers the Z more. Thank you Mr Chen !

Aloha from Kauai, HI, thank you so much for the great videos on Japan cars. My son has a Skyline R32GTR he bought from Japan & shipped it here. It's in Honolulu right getting the engine rebuilt, he fried it. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about these vehicles, the builds are amazing. Myself, I was a VW geek in the late 70s early 80s, various street cars & a 59 KG race car that ran low 11s (backyard built). Again thanks for the great photos & videos, you're the man. Aloha nui loa. Also mhalo for coverage of the Hawaii car culture.

I just have to move into my next place to have the garage space to bring it over. Thanks to all these profiles, I am pretty sure I know how I am going to build mine. In your experience do many people keep them green? I see tons of white, black, red and blue builds, but rarely Leaf Green.

I've had a question about this build for a while now that I can't seem to find an answer to. The specs say that they put a 205/50R15 tire on a 9" wheel on the fronts. Those tires have a wheel width range of 5.5-7.5", meaning at least a 1.5" stretch on the tire! Am I even correct on that? If so, has it impacted performance or longevity of the of the build?
