I see your point, but power windows are a must have, they allow straight forward enjoyment of the car, its not a lazy trivial mod, its a control that you are constantly using while driving, and shows dedication to detail, I'd ditch the sound system for power windows.

My wife &I hit some of the car shows once in a while, & i drive them all when im feeling well. My son & grand kids love to be seen in them. Cool car! Back in the late 90's a customer brought a 280 Z to my shop to fix some rust in the battery tray. It was the same color combo. Someone back in the day had brazed in a right frame rail and inner fender in it due to a collision. It wasn't properly seam sealed and battery acid had eaten out the bottom of the frame clear to the riser behind the passenger seat. There was almost nothing holding the front suspension in! I told him he was in no way obligated to have his car repaired at my shop but he wasn't driving it back home. I remade all the parts of the frame and a 6" wide strip of the floor pan from the top of the firewall to the rear riser. Seeing the "😊during" pics brought back a flood of memories! So cool for him to build it for his dad... says something about how cars can really bond a father/ son relationship.

I had a Datsun 240 Z that I got and it didn’t run. I rebuild the engine with 11 1/2 to 1 compression and had triple Weber‘s on it. I had a electronic fan on it with a temperature gauge, but also a switch inside that I can turn it on and off when I wanted. I had an inch and a quarter swaybar on the front and an inch and an eighth swaybar in the back. I had wheel wheel flares on it and I had 235x50x15’s on it with KYB struts and 25% stiffer coil springs. I had a five speed in it and it loved 85 miles an hour and handled around corners like it was on the rails. I also custom-made some turnbuckles to adjust the alignment and I loved that car. I would love to get another one and actually put a small V-8 in it, but mine was actually pretty quick.
