hes smart for picking the k20 instead of the k24, hes trapping a faster time because the k24s have too much torque and that causes spinning for FWD, the k20 puts down power better in lower gears

on that particular run where he set the record at 8.38 with a trap speed of 168 mph, he was using a k24 engine paired to sequential transmission

13B is a 3.9 liter engine. Small in size only. 6 combustion chambers at 654cc each. Mazda just counts 2 for their quoted "nominal displacement" of "1.3 liters" just to cheat Engine taxation laws in Japan and Europe.
