The injuries were absolutely ridiculous. The hull bleed and finite resources is challenge enough without the constant explosions even in optimal working conditions.

The patch that removed the second left hand from every who has been defrosted and replacing it with a right hand has helped

Keep in mind that each cycle is a day and the limited amount of workers are often overworked meaning accidents would indeed be frequent especially in inherently unsafe industrial environments.

Most of these accidents are lethal or injury causing, rather than just shutting the workplace down. 2: I forgot to build more than one infirmary in my industrial district and even with Optimal working conditions still had a 30% mortality rate in that sector over a year 3: Even the beaches of Alang don't have accident rates that high.

Well 9 crop plots is 3x3. The length of 2 farm buildings back to back is about 3 crop plots. So.

Loving the game play and sort of following along on my game..... 2 optimizations in the layout of the first sector you missed..... [5:08] ABOVE the EVA Airlock, delete 6 left side road pieces . You have a 3x6 space you can put in an Infirmary or Optimized Quarters. Lower left Cryo facility. Rotate for road access from the top, put against bottom wall. Add 1 section of road to connect east road. You have a 3x6 space above it for Infirmary OR Optimized Quarters, or 2 batteries.

This answered my question if those that do these Lets Play streams actually update their games or not. At release, the game was stable but had a ton of accidents all the time. They tried to patch the game but actually made it unplayable for a lot of people and screwed up menus so they rolled it back. For people that do Lets Plays for income if they did the patch and could no longer play, that would suck. Looks like they did another patch after the rollback to actually fix things.

If im given the choice to not update I often choose not to unless the patch notes have something worth updating for. As believe it not devs have a habit of breaking games between pre-release and release day. Which can really suck as content creator. More then once Ive had to completely replay things from the start to get back to a similar point for a ongoing letsplay cuz a dev broke something in a day -1 patch

I actually managed to build Sector 1 and 2 stably and without much homelessness or starvation. But since there was still a lot of space in sector 2, I built a second dock there. This is primarily intended to serve as a hub for Sector 3, where the new fields will go. There won't be much room for anything else. Also a second electronics factory because 30:1 is a rather slow ratio for electronics parts. We need more. All based on your layouts for sectors 1+2. Thank you very much!

Hopefully the devs decide to lengthen the amount of time you can stay in the system without getting perma debuffs. Otherwise everything is looking good, would be nice if they added an upgrade feature to the homes

As far as ive seen its a +1 debuff per chapter, if you hang around to long you get a extra +1 debuff BUT it goes away once you jump, so you just get to play with the next sectors debuffs early

There is no limit on the amount of time you can stay in any one system. At most you get a negative one debuff to stability which can be easily accommodated using one of the myriad of buildings or policies that give a stability buff.

You don't have to do math to check homelessness, it says it a bit further down how many people are homeless and sick etc in the population menu.

JD, if deconstructing houses gives you no net loss in resources, why not build a couple extra big ones while you replace the old small ones, and then you dont have to worry about the population debuffs while upgrading things.

Time is the short answer. I have to wait for the resources to be transported and then the building to happen etc etc. Its a good idea but might add a extra 2-3min to the video, if i do 2-3 things like this suddenly the video ends up 10min longer which means i have to look at cutting parts out which id prefer not to do, I prefer to keep things super fast and avoid all cuts to make sure that nothing is lost for the viewer
