I been watching all your ONI guides. They have been super helpful for getting better understanding on stuff

6:19 This isn't exactly correct. Lullaby lasts for 1.0 cycle whether the incubator is powered on or not. It just needs to be powered on for a duration in order to lullaby, then can be safely powered off for 1.0 cycles until it needs re-application. Some 200s buffers, memory toggle, and some sensor automation can achieve both power/heat saving and still having lullaby applied throughout incubation.

Yep this was a mistake in the video, it seems to of changed since some time back when i was last testing incubators.

but he's day 31 and has all that chit done.. thats like pro gamer skill just like all the other youtubers. it's no wonder why he quickly bailed on this game and masters a brand new game each day. for normal people this game has so much shelf life appeal.. but this man has received the semen of trump and can do anything with masterful skill

I'm slowly going through all of your ONI guides also. I really appreciate the help since launch. Great stuff. One thing I haven't seen covered: is there any way to get germs out of unpolluted water? For example I had a dupe that missed the toilet and made a mess above a pure water source which caused polluted to mix with pure and food poisoning germs to spread. I even have a lot of food poisoning germs in my sealed-off, pure tank that's purifying polluted to fresh with the machine that uses sand. Do I need to make a chain of water purifiers to purify all the germs out or do they not take fresh water?

Germs in your water is not critical unless you're making food out of that water. Even then it won't break your colony on normal settings if your dupes get food poisoning occasionally. When you eventually decide to clean your water I recommend a chlorine room. Build a room big enough to hold 3 liquid reservoirs. Run the clean water coming out the the water sieve (the sand machine) into the reservoirs in the chlorine room. That a room you've filled with mostly if not all chlorine. I recommend a liquid lock to get into the room if you need to after building it. The chlorine will kill of any germs that sit in the water while in the reservoir if it's exposed to chlorine over time. I think this works quite well if you're running your bathrooms in a loop.

Awesome auto setup. Ive only been playing a week or so. How do you get the water into that little gap when you have incubators there?
@Jules_Diplopia5 жыл бұрын
Great... really helpful....Nice to see all this theory... but how does it work in practice when for instance you can't find enough wild critters or before you have all this automation. Do you just have to wait living off meallice until then?
@cellfire79075 жыл бұрын
You only need 1 wild critter to get going. i tried doing something like this at start of game. Found only way to auto get eggs out was to have an incubator for every egg. Then dupes would move eggs out and keep the pen from overcrowding. As long as I had a free incubator they would move eggs out. Did not know you can have unpowered ones. So that would have helped me ALOT.

@@cellfire7907 True, but it takes so long.....

First tame (using hatches as a example) one lays a egg after 6 cycles, then (unpowered) the egg takes 20 cycles to incubate, and another 5 to grow into a adult. That same critter has laid 4 more eggs in the mean time which does mean you have 2 adults and 4 kids/eggs within 25 cycles. Thats 3/4 of your 1st ranch right there, 50 cycles later you can have 3 ranches going with little effort all before you get automation. From there you probably want to start culling the excess critters before you turn into a 'Crazy Hatch Dupe'
@djmulder3 жыл бұрын
what I still don't understand .. how does this system keep the amount of hatches stable in the ranches? like the egs and stuff I get.. but what happens if a hatch dies in the ranch? is it auto filled?
@cellfire79075 жыл бұрын
so do the unpowered ones just incubate them at the same rate as ones on floor?
