Jcvd has a 18-1 professional kickboxing record and a 40-2 something record in point karate, he retired from kickboxing at the age of 21 because of the movie opportunities but his coach at the time (one of the best kickboxing coaches) said that he could have become world champion. At that time there wasn't a lot of money in fighting so it was the smart move to go for the movie career.

I've never injured my shoulder .. until now .. listen to your body .. plenty of stretching .. keep the weight manageable and don't overtrain .. and most importantly .. EAT RIGHT

I noticed that too. Seems a bit ironic that out of the two of them (Conan and Andy), the least in-shape of the two seems to be more familiar with fitness routines.

I'm not even a fitness fanatic and I often stress to friends and co-workers the importance of doing regular stretching exercises throughout the day. Even if you don't have a fitness routine or work out at all; having a regular stretching routine is very beneficial for your body. Hearing JCVD give Conan and the audience a little lecture on the importance of stretching made me think "Yes, exactly!"
