This is a really difficult - though not impossible - piece. There are a lot of passages that get the fingers twisted up and take a lot of practice to develop the muscle memory. But it's really satisfying to practice, and a delight to hear. I continue to be at a loss that it's not played as much as the other great non-Mozart concertos, primarily Nielsen and Copland. When I was a student a couple decades ago, none of my contemporaries studied it, and I've never even heard - or even heard about - a live performance. Only with KZbin have I been able to see/hear some performances of this wonderful work.

So young, yet at the top of my list. Great tone, great everything, and from a country not as well known for clarinetists.

Quelle technique et quelle subtilité de nuances. Très belle interprétation.

The first performance of this piece was given by Jacques Lancelot. It is an extremely difficult piece. This interpretation is perfect!
