Sincere thanks to the aptly named RECORDARE DOMINE for giving us these exquisite musical gems. Expertly articulated by the superb soloists and the flawless playing by members of the ensemble, these violin concerti clearly indicate, at least to this listener, that Jean Marie Leclair had that Special Gift, possessed by so few mortals, of being able to transcend the limitations of the mundane world and tap into SomeThing that is Greater and Nobler. Call It The Sublime or whatever one chooses, but these masterworks leave no doubt that Leclair had It, and as a result we are privileged to share in this remarkable composer's Special Vision, to the extent that we are able to do so.

Listened to it 100 times, never get bored of his violin virtuosity. italian style for sure but he has no equivalent technically.
