I'm very sorry to hear that he has passed away. I bought his Bach album many years ago and have listened to it dozens of times. A true artist.

James Dower was one of my greatest friends who died way too young - an incredible flute player, (a student of Alain Marion & William Bennet) A devotee of the Rampal Marseille Flute School, James represented the best of the French and English flute playing. I'm so thrilled to have discovered this fabulous recoding of his as I only had a very bad quality cassette. Thank you so much for posting this It means so much to me! :)

James was a very close friend of mine...I used to play the piano and we would play for hours in my front room. I was heavily into baroque music at the time and he would really open my mind and awareness of interpretation. His mother Marion rang me to tell me had died and it affected me badly for many months. This recording is just wonderful...I am sitting here crying listening and thinking of the memories. Thank you for posting this.
