Video interview with the French composer and electronic music producer Jean-Michel Jarre. Not too many views, unfortunately, but very valuable and I never get tired of looking at this great artist and listen so good to what he has to tell us.

Pretext: This guy is a senior citizen, by actual definitions. And I knew that he started out in the late 70's, but I didn't know his age at the time I first heard his music, which was around 1990. But what I'm saying, is that I had no idea what age he actually was. And I thought he was something like 26 at that time, because he looked fairly young. Today I googled him, to see what age he is now, since this is a quite recent interview. And, get a load of this, the guy is 74 bleeping years old now, meaning he was 73 at the time of the interview. Which is mind-boggling to me, because he still seems so young, in a way that's hard to describe. I mean, sure, he's definitely more mature looking now, but I could put him at 50, maybe even 60, but that's only by good will to see him as that old. Because if you watch and listen to him in this interview, he's so energetic, passionate, and interesting. So alive, if you will. And look at his body language too, and the way he moves. He doesn't even move like someone of that age. And my mother is born the same year as him, and she's in a nursing home, and hardly knows who or where she is anymore. And I know those two people are polar opposites in that sense, but I'm making a point here. She's female, and he's a male, he's famous, and she's just a regular human being, and not a superstar like Jean-Michel is. And when you add the fact that they're born the same year, you'd think there would be more similarities between them, other than their genders, of course. But nope, they couldn't be more different from eachother, despite being exactly the same age. And people on the internet, jokingly refer to Keanu Reeves as an immortal that doesn't age, but he's younger than Jean-Michel Jarre, anyway, so what does that make Jean-Michel? Which leads me to the question I took the long way to ask, but I wanted to give you the context first, and I hope you didn't mind that I did. And my question is this: How the F is this guy 74, because he certainly doesn't look it, or acts like someone that age. Did he discover the fountain of youth or something, or what is his secret? And I know a guy like that, that looked way younger than his actual years would suggest, and it was like that for a very long time. But last time I met him, it seemed age had finally caught up with him, and had started to show. But still, that guy wasn't even 60 yet, I think. But Jarre is my mother's age, and you can't even compare the two of them to eachother. So, I think it's safe to say that Jean-Michel Jarre, is the OG immortal, and an absolute legend in music, and a big inspiration for me to become a musician myself. Obviously I'm not a pro like Jarre, but I have made music since I was 16, and now I'm pushing towards 50, but I still have a couple of years until that happens, and if that is meant to be, of course. Thank you for taking the time to read all of this, and I hope you got something out of it. But 74, wow, just wow. Mind. Blown.

...must have been all that "oxygene" - sorry I could not resist....but I totally agree with you indeed .I from an earlier gen so had some idea that he would be of around that age but to see this video and your findings also leaves me dumbfounded...truly amazing - as I thought of Oxygene 4 😎
